AirStone uses patented technology to create real concrete stone that's light enough to glue directly onto drywall - no metal lath or fasteners required. This innovation makes installation faster, simpler, and far less costly. These individual stones have the look and feel of natural rock, yet are ultra-light weight and durable, making them ideal for a wide range of projects. Installing AirStone is straightforward: apply adhesive to the back of the stone and press it to the wall. DIYers can easily bring the warmth, texture and beauty of stone to virtually any indoor or outdoor space.Note: For outdoor use, AirStone is ideal for adhering onto preexisting outdoor walls that are already weatherproof (i.e. brick, stucco, exposed concrete foundations, concrete block, siding, etc.). It's also perfect for outdoor projects that are unattached to the home, such as outdoor kitchens, around pools, patios and porches, retaining walls, decks, columns, mailboxes, etc. AirStone is not intended to be used as the shell of your home. Wood sheathing fastened to the frame of a house will settle, expand or contract, and is not a rigid enough surface; adhesion problems or stone cracking may arise. Also note that AirStone is not in itself a waterproof sheathing.

Hi Duplex, I am assuming each side of the column is 20" (so 20" x 4). So, 4) columns each being 50" tall with four 20" wide sides you will need 12 boxes of Corner Stones and 3 boxes of Primary stones. Thanks
Hi diy2025, I am basing calculations on 8 corners, all 3 ft tall, and total coverage area of 45 sq ft. You'll need 4 boxes of Autumn Mountain Corner/Finished End stones. Each box will cover 6 linear feet of corner area (so 4 x 6 = 24 ln ft, which is same as 8 corners x 3 ft). Once installed, the corners will occupy 43 sq ft, so you will need one additional box of Autumn Mountain Primary stones. Please note; since I don't know how much scrap will be generated (because you will certainly need to cut some pieces to fit the space), you may need another box or so of the Primary stone. Thanks
Hi Worm :) Absolutely, AirStone onto brick is a common application. Use AirStone Interior Adhesive for this interior project. Thanks
Yes it can. If it's outside, use Loctite PL Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive. If indoors, use AirStone Interior Adhesive. Thanks
Hi Radar, I am assuming the 34.5" is the height of the corner edges. 34.5 x 2 = 5' 9" so you need one box of Corners to cover both edges. Then you need 3 boxes of the Primary stone to cover the rest. Thanks!
Each box of corners has 6 trays, 5 corners per tray for a total of 30. Each corner is two pieces and each tray will get you 13” of corner height. One box will reach 78” of height total. The corners cover approximately 15” of horizontal space each.
Hi Aimee, Sounds like you have two edges, both 4.5 feet tall, so that's 9 linear feet, so you'll need 2 boxes. For primary stone: 6 ft wide x 4.5 ft tall = 27 sq ft (*however, you want to subtract out the size of the fireplace opening). 4.5 ft tall x 1 ft deep = 9 sq ft Subtotal = 36 sq ft* But, remember, the 9 ft of corners will also occupy 11 sq ft of wall space, so you need... 27 + 9 - 11 = 25 sq ft of primary stones (3 boxes) (but you still need to subtract out the size of the opening of the fireplace) and 2 boxes of corner stones Thanks
Hi Robert One 18 x 18 column 3 ft tall will have 12 linear ft of corner edges and 18 sq ft of surface to cover. A corner box covers 6 linear ft of edges, so you’ll need exactly two corner boxes for the edges. A corner box also covers about 7.25 sq ft of surface, so two boxes will cover about 14.5 sq ft, which is short of the 18 sq ft you need. To you need either one more box of primary stones, or one more box of corners. I’d get one more box of corners since the columns need exactly 12 ft and you’ll want a little extra. I’d use cement board because plywood can warp. Thanks
Hi Matt, I apologize for the delay, our servers went down yesterday. First, I'm assuming this is an indoor project. If so, and you plan to use AirStone Interior Adhesive, keep in mind that our interior adhesive is water-based, so technically, the plywood could warp due to the water in the mixture. So to be 100% safe, we need to recommend treated plywood or cement board if you plan to use AirStone Interior Adhesive, or you could use Loctite PL Premium 3X Contruction Adhesive on non-treated plywood. That being said, I've personally applied AirStone onto plywood with no warping issues. AirStone is safe to use around fireplaces, it is non-flammable. Use caution if you use plywood around the electric fireplace. I don't know the specifics, but cement board may be safer. Thanks
