Can I use this for a 120V circuit instead of 240V, 1 Hot & 1 Neutral wire?
ByJul 12, 2024
1 Answer |
Answer This Question

This circuit breaker is designed for a 240V circuit. Using it on a 120V circuit is not recommended as it will not function as intended. The product specifications clearly state that the voltage is 240V. For a 120V circuit, you'll need a different breaker rated for that voltage.

Can this be used on a DC system? 150 VDC at 10 amps on 12AWG CABLE?

      Answer This Question

No. It is for AC. AC and DC breakers are NOT the same. DC requires a much better arc quenching mechanism that is more expensive, so if you use an AC breaker on DC, you will be risking the breaker itself turning into a fused link during a short.

      By|Jan 11, 2024

Why not? Needs to be tested under excessive load.

What is the difference between single pole and double pole
          ByJan 29, 2021

          Answer This Question

A Single-pole breaker provides 120 Volts (15-20Amps) with one hot wire and one neutral wire. Double-Pole breakers provide 240 Volts, 20-60Amps and have connections for two hot wires and one neutral wire.

On a regular 240V 4 wire feed is this GFIC breaker only using the neutral and "one (1)" of the hot connections? The other hot is not switched through the breaker? Install instructions?

            Answer This Question

The NDB1L-32C-20-240V is designed for use with European single phase 240Vac (230Vac) 3 wire (L, N and PE) systems. Not for use with US 240Vac split-phase 4 wire (L1, L2, N and PE) systems.
