        A:  Hi Osoin20135. The Alpine Power Head 550GPH Pump has a maximum effective pumping height of 6 ft with 145 gph. This is a submersible pump designed for continuous use. The pump has a female ½-inch thread at the flow port. To attach a garden hose to this pump, you will need a ½-inch male pipe thread adapter to ¾ garden hose either male or female.             Great for small garden fountains
