Product Details

Our base mouldings are manufactured from 100% recycled high impact Polystyrene polymer. They are designed to protect walls from kicks, vacuum cleaner bumps and furniture. Its heavy duty polymer compound makes this base moulding the best option to protect walls. Our base moulding has the inherent strength and impact durability of solid red oak. American Pro Decor's Recycled Polystyrene baseboard mouldings are the perfect choice to add a clean, crisp and decorative accent to any wall.

      A:  Thanks for your inquiry. This moulding is sold in 8 ft long. So lineal feet is 8. If you need to calculate square footage, it will cover 4 square feet = (2'x2'x2'x2)

            A:  Thanks for your inquiry. This profile is manufactured with a white film on it over a white high density foam. Even though it is white, the color might not be consistent and might yellow overtime. It is recommend to be painted with an Acrylic paint.

              A:  It is primed and still needs to be painted for a nice finish. After installed you will want to fill nail head and seams and caulk the edge and apply a nice trim paint.

                A:  That is correct,no painting needed... it has a very durable poly coating that is very resistant to scratches and vacuum hitting. Ours has been for a year and shows no sign of ware

                  Do NOT like foam board baseboard. Breaks too easily and splits and cracks
                  do NOT like this stuff. Breaks very easily and you have to place adhesive or a piece of trim board to make it level. this ruined our renovation project but no time to do it over.

                      Used in an unusual way. When my 3 layer roof was replaced..the front door top wood trim did not extend far enough to keep rain from leaking into front storm door. Tried 5 1/2” high wood moulding just above trim. Worked well-but rotted. This looks like part of the original trim...will last forever.
