Q:We have been using the Model 5900A05G Abmient Bidet Seat for about 18 months. Unfortunately, both latches which secure the seat to the base plate are now broken, allowing the seat to slide forward unexpectedly. Is it possible to replace those latches?

Poor quality difficult to install
The bidet has plastic fittings that easily strip. The T to split the water line is also low quality plastic. It was difficult to thread on, wouldn’t go on straight, and the plastic thread stripped. I am returning.

I feel spoiled!
It works great. The only issue we have is that it makes the toilet bowl opening much smaller, creating somewhat of an issue for my husband. I do like that it is more self-contained than other bidets.

It was very easy to install, I did it myself it took me 15 min and it’s done working great, the only thing which is not a big deal but annoying ,the back of it is straight which makes it leaning forward sometimes closing by itself it needed to be little curved

Good Basic Bidet Seat
This is a good basic bidet my only negatives would be plastic inlets and valves, be careful to not cross thread them or it will leak and damage the threads, also unless you remove the flow re stricter plug inside water inlet valve to the seat the pressure to wash you was to low for us. The piece comes out easily with needle nose pliers if you want more pressure. The mounting system was good and solid in my opinion, and had a guide to help you know where to mount it . The seat has a release button so you can slide it back to clean behind and under the seat. in use about one month now. operation is very easy to understand and unit looks almost the same as any other seat. this item is not for a round toilet. Elongated only !!

Bidet Toilet Seat - easy to install; works well
American Standard makes high-quality products. I purchased two cadet Studio one piece toilets six years ago. When I discovered there is a bidet seat I could swap out for the regular one I couldn’t wait to try it. Sent from HD and arrived in good shape. EASY to install (20 minutes max) and it works like a charm. All parts are well engineered, no leaks, very compact. I highly recommend everyone see if there is a retrofit bidet seat for your toilet.

Cheap as free bidet. Bidet on a budget, fits great on our American Standard elongated toilet. Works great. Easy to install.
Definitely decreases frontal room for men (increased incidental contact risk), but it is worth it for the squeaky clean wash.
