The Rough-in Valve features a flat back and compact body to ensure a secure and simplified install process that can accommodate smaller spaces. A flush plug is included, which allows both Hot & Cold to be flushed simultaneously for quicker installation and less downtime. Stainless steel fixation ring, with sure-grip flats, keeps flush plug and cartridge in place without screws. Cartridge sold separately.

What if anything do I need to do when double drywalling and tiling the wall this is going into?

There is a thin wall side of the plaster guard and the other side is for an installation like yours. The guard will stay on until the wall and tile are up and then it is removed, and it will show you where the valve needs to be roughed in at so that you can attach your handle. I am using as a shower only. How do I plug the spigot that goes to the tub?
