Q:Why do the temperature water calibration units where the screw is attached so weak. It's plastic and you can not tighten the screw because if you do you strip out the threads.

A:  There are no threads on the calibration unit itself. You should not have to tighten the attachment screw more than a 1/4 turn past hand tight. Your American Standard Consumer Connections Team.

      Q:I have to replace a broken temperature calibration unit on our shower (and replace the valve it goes on). I am having trouble finding the correct parts. The model number printed on the back of the American Standard part is A923360 A POM2.

        Q:Our shower has 3 turn on valves for a hand held, an over head and one that turns on 4 body jets. We have not been able to have all 3 on at the same time as we will go staight to cold water. Is this part what needs replaced?

          New house/Poor Design and Manufacture
          I had my newly constructed home filled with American Standard products (3.5 baths plus kitchen and two utility sinks). Within the first year, I have had to pay to replace THREE (3) of these Temperature Calibration Units. Easily broken. Can't be repaired.
