Q:I used two of these adapters on both hot & cold washer supply valves.... Couldn't stop them both from leaking....... Only way I could stop the leaks was to use a washer between the male/female connectors. Can't Apollo provide washers with the adapter?

something's wrong with the thread
I bought two of the 3/4-3/4 for my new water heater and both leaked. Plenty of ptfe tape used and it didn't stop it. Now I have to drain the tank and my lines and install different adapters. What a waste of water and time.

Can't Stop the Leaking
The other review about this leaking with the Everbilt Water Heater Expansion Tank is spot on. No amount of torque or teflon tape will stop this from leaking. I think it must be this fitting. Going to buy the sharkbite swivel instead.

When connected with Store SKU #1003064927 Thermal Expansion Tank, as instructed by documentation, there was a minor leak. The treads did not seem to be a good match with the tank.

failed after 2 years
I gave it a 3 because it was easy to install. However this fitting developed a small crack after 2 years of use. The cost to replace part was small but the effort to tear out part of the wall was not. Very poor quality.
