Can it be used with expansion fittings
ByJul 14, 2026
1 Answer |
Answer This Question

Thank you for your question. Expansion fittings are designed to be used only with PEX-A pipe and are not compatible with PEX-B pipe. If you're looking for the same size and length in PEX-A, please search for part number EPPB512. If you have any additional questions, we're happy to help.

To connect a PEX water line to an existing residential water meter, the fitting you need depends on what is coming out of the meter and local code.

This Pex is outside on a covered patio and on a covered deck it could get some sun in the morning is there something the line could be wrapped with?
          ByMay 15, 2026
          1 Answer |
          Answer This Question

The pipe can be wrapped with a UV-resistant foam pipe insulation — easy and inexpensive. UV-resistant split pvc conduit or pipe chase — durable and clean-looking; excellent for decks/patios. Flexible UV-rated sleeve/tubing — often used in exposed plumbing runs. Here are a couple great options.

This blue pex pipe product was great for my reroute job I completed. I had pex pipes coming out from my main water line where builders did a crappy job of organizing and not hiding with possible future plans of finishing a basement. The pipes that were originally installed were exposed and wonky. I wanted to hide them in the beams to finish the wall with drywall. The pipes were flexible enough to do the job and worked well with pex cinch clamps and fittings. Overall everything worked perfectly as expected.

100 ft roll NEVER loses its radius.
Pex-B in 100 foot rolls is very difficult to work with. The radius from the roll NEVER goes away. Do yourself a favor and get the pex-A in straight 20 foot sections. Slight price premium for vastly superior workability and flexibility. Per their own website, you can use pex-a pipe with all the pex-b fittings and clamps.

                  Received empty box
Bought this with my order. 2 boxes the one box had the stuff consisting of screws and wax toilet rings, the other was supposed to contain a 5ft 3/4 pex pipe, what I received was an empty box. Called and reported it never heard back then e-mailed them their response was it was delivered. Had to deal with Paypal then and file a case. I have never dealt with a company that just refused to fix the situation. I have had dog food show delivered by chewy though did not receive and they shipped replacement, then they found out it had been misdelivered and found it's way to me 2 weeks later, yet when called to tell them they said keep it or donate it. Never had a business basically tell me oh well. Makes me afraid to do anymore business with them now, up until this was fine.
