Converted from polished brass
We used this paint to convert polished brass bathroom lights to oil rubbed bronze. We had our doubts about covering a shiny surface, but it turned out great. The color is just a hair lighter than Delta's oil rubbed bronze, but you don't notice unless really looking closely. We are very pleased to not only save some money but also avoid putting more in the landfill. One can was enough for 2 fixtures. Very happy overall.

I was apprehensive about buying Behr spray paint, being the first time I had ever seen it, but it was the color I wanted and the known brands didn't have exactly the shade I was looking for. Worked great!

Bad nozzles
Terrible nozzles compared to rust-oleum. I thought I’d save a couple bucks and try the Behr metallic spray paints. I use about 10 cans of this particular paint per year. Decent paint matching o the name brand. Very bad nozzle. I don’t normally wear gloves when I’m painting because I’m careful. There is no being careful with this. See pics. Name brand completely used up. Behr partially used. Same process with both.

One tip if the nozzle gets clogged, you can turn the can upside down and spray for a few seconds and that should clear the nozzle. Awesome color!!!
This color was unexpected. Its more of a pewter type color with som glitter in it. When the sun hits it, there is a rainbow shine. I love it!!

Oil Rubbed Bronze Make-Over
After reading reviews and watching a few videos, I painted my bath tub fixtures. I’m really pleased with the finish. (It was way too pricey to replace with new fixtures!!)
Finished with clear coat and carnuba wax.

Rubbed bronze is prettier than the blah window casing paint colors
I used this to change a new vinyl patio door slider from white to rubbed bronze. It covered great and it isnt chipping off with continued use of the door. I actually bought more of this product to freshen up my window casings that have been bleached out by the sun.

Hard to use
I do not consider myself to be a master spray painter but I’ve done it enough that I shouldn’t have had so much trouble with this one. Does not spray evenly. Will come out in clumps. Scratches easily.

To help, I recommend turning the container upside down and spraying until clear (1-2 seconds). It's best to do this periodically throughout the project to ensure the nozzle does not clog and can provide an even spray. As for the scratching, I recommend being gentle on the coating for 24 hours after it has been applied since the paint is still curing. Great for small projects
The 11 oz. #SP-201 Oil Rubbed Bronze Satin Interior/Exterior Metallic Spray Paint Aerosol is an easy to use paint spray for small coverage jobs. It was simple to apply it on my metal water piping that had been damaged from a repair. It was darker than I needed for the work but it will match perfectly for my fire pit table cover that has been scratched with use.
