Excellent but clearly not for everyone
I give this doorbell 5 stars because it was inexpensive and integrates with the Blink system I already have and it was literally a 20 minute setup. I am using it wired and it replaced the 30 year old doorbell button and I used the existing transformer. I can’t comment on the battery usage but my other blink unit batteries are lasting close to the stated 2 year lifespan. If you are replacing batteries after weeks or months you may not have a good connection to the sync module or high activity.

Could be better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our first Blink item so we did not have any other devices to sync. And we're only accessing the videos from our phones. So far, the sync module is a plus since you can save your videos instead of paying for a subscription. But setup wasn't a breeze. We followed the instructions on the app but that didn't quite work. To set up the doorbell you have to set it up not in the app but through the sync module within the app. So that's were the confusion started. Once that was done everything was a breeze. Mounting the camera was okay. We usually use our own screws. But it was a bit tricky to slide the camera into the mount. Hopefully the batteries last the 2 years so we don't have to take it apart. The video is wide screen so you can see from the waist up. But it would have been better if the camera would see the floor so it can capture packages. So another camera is needed. And it would be nice if a wall plate was available for purchase. We want to hardwire the Blink over our existing doorbell but our doorbell is actually wider.

Nice, but a little confusing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how easy this was to wire and I like being able to see who is at the door without actually going to the door, but I don’t understand the module 2 thing and it didn’t really come with any information about it to help me understand what it really does. I did google and I guess I just need to plug it in near the door? I’m not sure. I have a good internet connection, but it takes a long time to give me a live view (10-15 seconds). I haven’t ever had a video doorbell before this brand, so I’m not sure if that’s normal or not. I’m sure once I get more familiar with it I will like it more. It does make me feel safer!
