Control knobs broke after 4 months
Do not buy this cooktop!
Shame on you, Bosch!
$1500 for this cooktop and you used fragile plastic parts inside control knobs?Are you kidding me?
After 4 months and 2 weeks use, 2 of the total 5 control knobs broke! In the middle of cooking when you tried to turn off the fire and then the control knobs broke! Can you imagine how bad it was?!
Then I found out that the connecting part of the knob is made of fragile and non-heat resistant material, so it WILL BREAK no matter what!

Decent cooktop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this cooktop about 6 weeks, and so far I like it. It's taking a bit of time to get used to the levels (how much heat at a particular number), and the super power burner, as well as the Opti Sim burner. No problems with them so far, just haven't totally got them down yet. I like the lights in the knobs that let you know when a burner is on, as well as when it's still hot. And it's nice to be able to take the burners apart for cleaning. The one thing I don't like is that it takes quite a bit of attention to keep it clean. The stainless steel gets marked up extremely easily with fingerprints, and wiping up even a tiny bit of food results in a streak that then needs to be washed and polished out. That's kind of inconvenient. But overall, it's a good cooktop.

FANTASTIC

Our installer told us that he could tell, while installing it, that it is a high quality and well built cooktop. And it has features that other cooktops simply do not have. It was a bit pricier than another brand we were looking at but, this is clearly a case of you get what you pay for.

Much needed upgrade
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this cooktop to replace a downdraft cooktop that the builder installed. After 15 years of frustration it was time for an upgrade. We certainly accomplished that.
The burner arrangement took a little getting used to but after a few weeks of use it's not an issue. Having the power burner in the middle for the wok and heavy sautéing is great. It allows a quick start to boiling water etc then shift to the upper right for final boiling or lower left for simmering. The lower left simmer burner works outstanding with our Crueset cast iron Dutch ovens. They always boiled instead of simmered on the old cooktop. Well done Bosch!
Last week I had three different recipes cooking on the cooktop. Using the simmer, power center and cooking burner all going at the same time. No issues with pots fitting on the cooktop on the burners.
I love the control knobs lights that indicate the burner is on and then the flashing to indicate the cooktop is hot.
Cleaning is easy. Wipe with a soapy cloth after removing the grates. Then wipe with a dry cloth. Done. No need for fancy stainless cleaners etc.

Our new gas cooktop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our new cooktop which replaced our 20 plus year old gas cooktop. This new cooktop is cleaner, sleeker and gives us a tremendous amount more cooking area even with the same footprint based on the location of the controls in the front rather than on the side. We also really like the large center burner as it is extremely versitile and makes cooking faster and more efficient. The simmer burner is also fabulous once you get a sauce up to temperature on another burner but then need to maintain the heat without burning it. The cooktop is reasonably priced considering the features and high quality.

Good looking cooktop with propane conversion kit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this cooktop after viewing and researching many different models,.
This cooktop has the power boil center burner and nice, solid-feeling controls.
The propane conversion kit was included, which was another selling point for us.
Installation of the jets was difficult on the power boil burner, even by our experienced gas plumber.
We ended up having to get a certified Bosch appliance repair tech to complete installation of the jets on the power boil burner, in order to ensure we kept our cooktop under warranty.

Best product in this price range
After researching stovetops from all the different makes I could find, this one looked like the best. Complaints about others, like cheap plastic knobs, and poor flame control and simmer options, we bought this stovetop and had it installed. I just love it!!! Easy to clean, great burner options and black cast iron grills all made it a winner for us. Our installer pointed out features I hadnt even noticed yet like easy knob position
markers. Just love my stovetop! From frying an egg, simmering a sauce, to canning quarts of tomatoes, I can count on this product to provide a quality experience.
