Q:what is the function of the built-in timer? does it for only one element?

Answer This Question

A:  Hi Pollux. Thank you for your question. You can use the timer function to set a cook time for any element. The element will turn off automatically once the set time has elapsed. Each cooking zone has an independent CountDown timer.

Per the Use and Care Guide, pages 23 and 24 for this model, NIT8068SUC:BSH warrants that the Product is free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three hundred sixty-five (365) days from the date of purchase. The full Warranty and the Use and Care Guide can be found on the product page on the Home Depot.com site. They are located further down on the right side. Click on either to get more information on product use and the warranty.

      A:  Hi Ri. Thank you for your question. Yes, this 800 Series 30 inch Induction Cooktop can be installed over a Bosch Built-in Wall Oven. Per the Specifications for this model, there needs to be a 1" clearance between the bottom of the cooktop and the top of the oven. Please ensure the installer consults the Bosch installation guide for this model.

          Super fast heating and cooking . Like the Jetons !
          [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this a the first induction cooktop. I knew about them for years. Great move on my part . It’s so fast it’s the year 2200 ! Water boils , food brown and Sears then we bring the temp down. The auto chef function is great to master . The super fast heat up SPEED BOOST function is crazy amazing . Then we lower to a normal temp after the searing or ROLLING BOIL is attained.

              Fantastic until the power board blew
              [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love cooking with this unit. It's fast, efficient, easy to use, and produces little to no waste heat, so we don't need a ton of ventilation. However ... the main power board, right side just burned out in year 4. This will be a VERY expensive repair. A top-flight appliance like this needs to have a longer lifespan.

                Error for two burners
                My cooktop is not even a year old and tonight when I went to start the boil process for my pasta water pot as I normally do, the burner cut out and displayed an E. The larger burner next to it kept working. Now a second burner is displaying E, but I cannot use my two largest burners together as I need to. Only the largest and one of the smallest are working. Surely a product this pricey and relatively new should not have this problem this soon.

                    Induction Cooktop
                    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time using this type of cooktop. I chose it for it's design and its funtions I like that the stove itself does not heat up and cools off very especiallly when I don't leave hot pans on it.I did have to buy somenew pans, but was able to find a nice set for a reasonable price, plus I am using several Cast Iron pans that I have as well. I like that it has no handles to hide crumbs. The flat control panel is really nice.

                          Best appliance decision I've made
                          [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my Bosch induction cooktop since 2009. I did have to buy many new pots, which was the downside, but I have never been so happy with an appliance choice. It is better than cooking on gas. The reaction time when changing temperature is almost instantaneous and the ascending levels of heat are excellent. My favorite feature is the ability to set each burner to shut off via timer. Helps with the sometimes difficult rhythm of cooking a complicated meal. I've never needed a repair, unlike every other appliance I chose for my custom kitchen.
