BrassCraft 1/2 in. Nominal CPVC Inlet x 3/8 in. O.D. Compression Outlet 1/4-Turn Angle Valve controls water flow to household plumbing fixtures - faucets, toilets, dishwashers, icemakers, washing machines, etc. The angle valve is most often used where the water pipe enters the room from the wall. With a 90° turn of the valve handle, you are able to stop the flow of water leading to the plumbing fixture, allowing for maintenance and repair without shutting off the water to the entire home.

      A:  This product is specifically designed to connect to CPVC water lines, using CPVC primer and glue. There is a CPVC sleeve inside the valve for that purpose. Not designed for compression fittings to the water source line in your home. The connection from this value to the refrigerator water line is a compression fitting.

        A:  Hi TJ – Yes, a compression outlet can be used on PEX or polyethylene tubing. When connecting to PEX riser, on 3/8” OD and smaller, use a plastic compression sleeve. When using ¼” OD polyethylene tubing, use a brass insert and plastic compression sleeve.
