Hidden plastic valve with high fail-rate
The Shutoff handle connects to a cheap plastic valve which has failed on 6 of my BrassCraft shutoffs. The handle strips the plastic easily. One handle broke off and pliers simply crushed the fragile plastic valve. This will result in water streaming through the plastic valve until the entire shutoff is replaced after turning off the water main.
You have to look very closely at the photo to see the white plastic stem connecting to the handle. Most photo's will hide the angle so the plastic cannot be seen.
