Are rebuild kits available for this valve ? Valve fails to hold back water after a few years.

I am unaware of any rebuild kits for this valve.

Can this valve be "hooked" to an existing valve for hot or cold water under bathroom and kitchen sinks or for diswasher?

If your old valve allows you to screw in a 3/8" galvanized nipple, then it will work. Screw the nipple into the existing valve and then attach this valve to the nipple. If the current valve has a compression fitting thread on it, then you are out of luck.

Will the 3/8 in. FIP inlet thread onto a male threaded 1/2 in. copper pipe?

These are a must have if you are going through the process of replacing any faucet or vanity. These are a great replacement for those old crummy multi-turn valves that leak after a few years, or sometimes even few uses. If you can remember "righty tighty", you can easily install these yourself.

This valve is much easier to turn off and on because it is a 1/4 turn valve rather than the gate valve handle, especially since most times access to the valve is often difficult. Make sure the water supply hose and 3/8" inlet are the proper size for your other fittings.
