The seat can be removed for Cleaning by pushing a button on the side.

Installation on a non-standard toilet
This is a great bidet but the installation recommendations clearly state it's designed for a standard toilet. However it can be installed on a non-standard (ie concealed trapway) with a few variations. I own an American Standard concealed trapway but I suspect other brands are similarly designed. The problem is the connection at the toilet fill valve is tightly enclosed in the toilet housing so you can't just remove the fill hose and install the 7/8" T like a standard toilet. Warning: Don't even try! You can order the 3/8" alternate fitting and install it to the water supply line at the fill valve on the wall. However I read where this may decrease the fill rate of your toilet. Didn't sound like that was a big deal. However if you also are shooting for aesthetics, the water line can be installed on the toilet fill valve at the bottom of the tank just like a standard toilet. To do this, drain the tank and remove the nuts on under the toilet base beneath the tank from the slotted screws installed on the inside bottom of the tank. I had some plastic washers above the nuts, which likely protect the ceramic, that I saved and reinstalled. This allows the entire tank to be removed. Take outside and clean with a garden hose and rag. Then on a workbench remove and install a new fill valve if it's more than a few years old ($5 to $13 for a fancy new one at HD, Lowes or any hardware store) along with the standard 7/8" "T" fitting and new fill hose ($5 for a metal sleeved one). Reinstall the tank. The fitting and hose will fit through the large hole in the base. All connections, including the tank screws, are hand tight and nothing will leak.

My family loves this bidet. The only hang up was that my five year old daughter doesn't weigh enough to activate it, but they give you the ability to override the switch that senses weight, so it works perfect for everyone now. Installation was very simple. The seat bracket had a lot of adjustability to fit our toilet like an OEM seat. The hardest part was that I didn't have an outlet by the toilet, so I had to add an outlet. After that it was pretty much as easy to install as replacing the toilet seat. I also replaced my water line at the same, I heard it's good to replace water supply lines every ten years and I didn't know how old it was.
A Warm Welcoming Seat
Compared with two other branded bidet seats I’ve purchased in the past, the Swash 1000 was the easiest installation I have experienced thus far. The remote and features are simple and friendly to operate and it’s been a “splash” with my guests. The only inconvenience I have with this product is how to hide the extension cord and electrical plug for aesthetics. Other than this factor, I am very content with this bathroom upgrade.

Well worth the cost
I have had this seat for almost three years now, and love the product. I rent my home and if I ever move, the bidet seat goes with me!

Excellent product
Have had the Brondell S1000 for two weeks. We are very happy with the product. Performs as advertised. I would highly recommend the Brondell S1000

Wow! We are so impress with this toilet seat.
We had previously bought a complete smart toilet for 1,5k from another company. When it arrived, we realised we needed a plumber and stronger electrical wiring. We thus returned It and decided to give the Bondrell Swash toilet seat a try. Wow! We absolutely don’t regret! It was really easy to install. My husband did it himself in less than 30 minutes. We were anxious to give it a try. Well let me tell you that we are truly impress. This toilet seat makes not only our toilet look expensive, it has all the same features the more expensive smart toilet have. Buy with confidence. You will love it.

Great product. Works as described. Should have purchased sooner. With four kids, empty toilet paper roll's and clogged toilets. ..this product is a must have. The seat warmer is nice, there is no more "bring me a roll of toilet paper", and the best thing no more clogged toilet!! The install was easy. I was lucky as I had a gfi outlet in the right spot for easy plug in so no need for an electrician.

We have been using this bidet seat for about one month now, and so far it has worked out great. We needed to run a new floor-level electrical outlet near the toilet, but after that, installation was very straightforward. The water spray feels like it cleans thoroughly, but the default 2 minute run time seems longer than necessary. I usually stop it early. The drier also does a good job and there is just a little bit of residual wetness after 1 minute. There is a sensor that ensures that the spray or drier won't activate if no one is on the seat. This is pretty handy when you have a toddler that likes pushing buttons. The seat does a little pre-rinse when you sit down so you can hear that the sensor has been activated. We bought a Bio Bidet U-SPA and installed it on a different toilet in our house around the same time, and I prefer the Brondell in almost every way. The Bio Bidet has a hot water tank instead of a continuous heater, so even though its spray time is only 1 minute, the water becomes cool at the end if you use the higher pressure setting. I also find the Bio Bidet's drier much less effective. The Brondell's remote has a magnetic wall mount, which I like better than the Bio Bidet's simple plastic caddy mount. The advantages I would give the Bio Bidet are that its water stream feels more focused, and the oscillation is more vigorous. In closing, we are very satisfied with our purchase of the Brondell S1000 and would recommend it to anybody looking for a bidet seat.

This review is for the Swash 1000, Round Toilet. Be sure to make note of the dimensions and measure carefully. It didn't fit my existing round toilet. Distance from front of tank to front of bowl was too short and the front of the seat extended beyond the bowl. I really wanted this seat and had to use a round style toilet so I had to get a new toilet that worked with the seat. I made a template of the seat and used that to select a toilet that would work. After swapping the toilet itself, installation was easy, assuming you already have a power outlet nearby. Also, the seat on the round style is smaller than a standard round seat because of the mechanicals at the back of the seat itself and because the seat itself is much wider. The attached photo shows a standard round seat on top of Brondell seat. If you're a larger person, this seat may not fit you well and you should opt for an elongated style. For us, this wasn't a problem but rather just a difference in how it feels when we sit on it. Aside from that, functionality is exactly what I expected as it does what it's supposed to do. Compared to the commercial style I'm more familiar with however, there is a 5-10 second delay from pressing the spray button until spraying starts. This is because the water is heated on-demand and not stored for instant use. 4 stars only because of toilet compatibility and for the reduced size of the seat itself.
