A: It is not one solid piece. The rake comb is welded to the struts. You should contact manufacturer if you want to know for sure if the rake comb is forged or cast. That said this rake is very sturdy and well made. Heavy duty.

I am only giving this 4 stars as we have only used it for just over a month. However, at this time I can say that it appears to be made VERY well and I expect that it will be with us for a very long time. So far we have used it to spread 3 cubic yards of soil and 6 cubic yards of wood chip mulch and it looks and performs just as good as when we started. Love the welding they've done on this rake. Definitely recommend other try it out. I'd rather pay a little more for a product that will last long-term than have to keep paying a little less multiple times because something keeps breaking.

Would not honor warranty at home depot

Tried to take this item back to home depot to service the warranty after the fiberglass handle broke and Home Depot would not honor the warranty. We could have bought 4 rakes for this price and only bought this one because it had a lifetime warranty. We will do our best now to help people avoid buying this brand!
