Q:I have a 3.5 inch ID cast iron clean out that the threads have deteriorated. Will the 3.5 inch adequately fit or do I need the three inch version and will it expand enough to work?

The perfect fix for a brass plug than was installed...
The perfect fix for a brass plug than was installed in 1976 and had to be cut out.I ordered two for the current need and since I ordered another one just in case.AGAIN PERFECT for what my needs were.

Have grinder! Will fit !
Supposed to be 3.5 inch for old metal pipe. Had to grind inside piece down to even fit in pipe. Then grind a 1/4" off rubber plug piece cause its more like 3&3/4 -3&7/8" it works but a 4 minute job turns into a half hour of grinding to fit job.

Item is exactly what I needed to replace the rusted...
Item is exactly what I needed to replace the rusted out sewer cleanout in my house. Had to remove part of the flange, due to pipe and floor interference, but that was easy to do.

Works great, seals well, seems to be of good quality that will last a long time. It would be nice to have a large butterfly nut instead of hex thus 4 stars.
