Can these tiles be used on exterior ceilings as in porches?
The Serenity is made from a sturdy rigid vinyl that is impervious to moisture and will not absorb humidity. Since the Serenity is only suitable for installation in a ceiling grid, you'll want to use Ceiling Tile Hold Down Clips to make sure the tiles don't shift or blow up and out under wind load. Can these be used with the coffered ceiling tiles as a border tile that needs to be trimmed?
Ceilume's Serenity ceiling panel sits flush in the grid, even when cut down from it's full size, which makes it a perfect choice for use as a border tile to the Wesminter and Madison coffered ceiling tiles.
I have ceiling florescent tubes lighting the kitchen. Then I have a drop ceiling that I need to replace the panels. Does the ceiling light shine through these panels? Or do I need a different product?
What is the Thickness of the Ceiling Tile and what is the material??
The Ceilume Serentiy in White is an opaque tile and light will not pass through it. Acrylic light lenses are the best bet for a light transmitting material for ceilings.
