A: Me bad. I get it now. I should of measured the ID of my pipe instead of the OD. I needed a 3/4" cap not this 1" cap.. Live & learn. :)
A: Sorry you're confused by the picture, and you of course are correct, this is a threaded connection. Teflon tape is a recommended thread sealant for PVC threaded fittings manufactured by Charlotte Pipe. With that said the specs you see are in relation to PVC fittings as a whole and thus solvent cement is the recommended way to join pipe and fittings.
