Product Overview

PVC Schedule 40 Pipe is for pressure systems where temperatures will not exceed 140°F. They are highly resilient, with high-tensile and high-impact strength. PVC Schedule 40 has better sound deadening qualities than PVC Schedule 40 DWV Foam Core and ABS Foam Core. Installation requires the use of primer and solvent cement.
  • Conforms to standards: ASTM D 1784, ASTM D 1785 and NSF standards 14 and 61
  • White pipe with red print that is used in potable water applications only
  • Maximum working pressure is 480 psi at 23°C or 73°F
  • Intended for pressure use
  • Maximum working temperature of 140°F
  • PVC schedule 40 pipe is used in irrigation, underground sprinkler systems, swim pools, outdoor applications and cold water supply lines
  • Require no special tools for cutting and to be installed with solvent cement

If you go to the trim/baseboard area there is usually a cutting station (every Home depot I've been at) with hand saws and tape measure etc so you can cut it yourself

Used to build a high tunnel in garden... probably should have used the 20' length to avoid coupli...
Used to build a high tunnel in garden... probably should have used the 20' length to avoid couplings in center top but holds up well and 1/2" strips can be screwed to stable "ribs" distance with drywall screws without puncturing the plastic top. 20' makes for a 12' W x 7' H tunnel, space ribs 4' apart for desired length. 20' x 50' 4 mil plastic sheeting for roof and wall.
