Q:How many holes are there around the pipe? I see only two in the product picture.

Answer This Question

A:  I apologize for the vague response but the whole count could be different on each piece of pipe based on production. I can tell you that the holes continue all the way around the pipe in a uniform pattern.

A:  You are correct. There are two rows of holes extending the length of the pipe. They typically are opposite the print on pipe, thus orienting the print up will place the holes in the desired position.

Q:I plan to install a catch basin in a gravel/dirt driveway. Can this pipe handle being driven over daily by small to midsize vehicles and minimal depth for that?

      Answer This Question

A:  Plastics, like PVC, are very different from rigid materials (like cast iron). Plastics do not have a crush rating or a known weight at which they will fail. Rather plastics are dependent on side fill and proper compaction per ASTM D2321 for their strength in underground applications. You should check local codes. Answer This Question

A:  No, it’s schedule 20. Is a lot easier to work with than sch 40 but won’t be what you want to hold pressure… but you can’t use perforated pipe to hold pressure hehe.

          by|Mar 22, 2022

A:  no, this is Sewer Pipe and is generally used in applications such as french drains and septic drainage fields and is available in both solid and perforated versions.

          by|Oct 27, 2020

A:  No, it is sewer pipe, probably schedule 20.

This will last a lot longer than I will. Strong not made for heavy trucks but will not crush under normal conditions. Building a drain field with anything else is a waste of time. You will have fewer problems [if any] on a properly built drain field. No roots will get into this. And if you allow a sludge build-up you will be able to treat and run a drain snake without wrecking the pipe. A go-to product.
