For an inside mount measuring 37.5 inches wide, we recommend ordering the 37-inch roller shade. Our Chicology Roller Shades include a ½-inch deduction to ensure a perfect fit within your window frame.
For an inside mount, can I mount the shade "backwards" as I have casement windows with handles that stick out?
Yes, you can mount roller shades in a reverse roll (sometimes called mounting “backwards”) for an inside mount. This setup allows the fabric to roll off the front of the shade instead of closer to the window, which helps clear window handles or cranks on casement windows. Please note that with a reverse roll, the fabric sits slightly farther into the room, and there may be a small light gap along the edges.
If I only have 1" 1/2 deaths in my window, will the inner blind bracket fit in that space?
Great question! For an inside mount, we recommend a minimum window depth of 2 inches for a fully flush fit. With a 1½" window depth, the inner mount brackets can still be installed, but the shade will protrude slightly from the window frame rather than sitting fully flush. This is a common setup and still functions well — just note the slight projection may be visible from the side. If you prefer a fully recessed look, you may want to consider an outside mount instead.
can the shade be attached with adhesive tape as outside mount?
