Hello, special euro screws are used to mount the front and 1/2 wood screws for the back. please contact us at customers@thestowcompany.com if you need the euro screws.
Hello, when fully extended the valet rod is 23" long with 11" of the valet bar space to use to hang garments on.
It can be attached to any solid part of the closet wall that is firmly attached. It doesn’t need to be used with the Closet Evolution System. Be sure to pay attention to the dimensions. Especially the depth to be sure it’s not sticking out.
This pole slides out so you can hang clothes, belts, scarves, etc. on it. If you mount it to the wall you will not be able to hang clothes hangers or anything bulky on it. I placed mine at about head level to the middle of my shelving. I just push it in out of the way when not using it.
I think this could be attached to any surface, not just a Closet Maid system.
You can use it without the CE system. I bought one to attach to my wood shelving. It just screws in. I love it.
The rod is designed/ tested to be used with our Closet Evolution units.
the Valet rod comes as a single orderable part the individual components are not available for sale.
yes
If by a 'stop' you mean, does the slide rod stop when you pull it out? Yes. You cannot pull the slide rod completely out of the socket.
yes. it will not come out of the socket completely.
yes, make sure you use the proper drywall anchors to support the load
this unit is not made to work as a stand alone and fix to anything but the vertical panels so please note if you do so it will void the warranty.
I would be very care doing this if the shelf was not fixed and if the load was more than the screws cold hold before pulling out of the particle board
The Valet rod is designed to align with the peg holes running along the vertical panels for easy installation. That said, it could be attached to a fastened shelf if you predrill pilot holes and confirm the depth of your screws will not protrude through the fastened shelf.
the holes on the valet rod are about 5" apart as one set will screw into the pre-drilled holes and the other into the panel its self
The distance between the two screws is 9” & no, I don’t think it’s adjustable.
