Easy to use and cut down to make a snug fit. Suggestion make all shelves slightly longer that measured to make a really stable shelving system.

This is a good product that is functional and assembles as advertised. They sell options for additional shelves, and the system components can be combined in different ways to get the design you want (number of shelves, drawers, high/low/long/short hanger rods, etc.). You'll need to be handy with a drill and general hand tools, plus be comfortable finding your wall studs or using drywall anchors. The drywall anchors they provide in the kit are great (a fancy retaining mechanism), but my set didn't have as many as I wanted to use and I had to purchase additional heavy-duty anchors. It won't look like a "model home" closet, but it works well at a reasonable price.

I used these shelves to supplement the Martha Stewart Closet System that I had installed in June and which will work perfectly for my needs.

This is the second time that I've used this closet system for my master walk-in closets. I put this system in our previous master which came with the cheap builder grade wire system. We ended up moving and after a master bed and bath remodel, I used this system again. I think it looks really nice and comes in at a fraction of the cost of a CA closets package. Granted, it isn't solid wood but I have used the espresso and think it looks pretty good. I love that you can customize it and build it to suit your needs. I ended up using the longer side pieces (72 in) and shelves on the top and bottom to give it a more custom look. Personally, I think it's a great value for the price. I priced out a lot of closets systems the first time and nothing came close to this one in regards to price versus quality and with all the options this system has. I assembled and installed both closet systems myself, I rarely even needed my husband's help. I am now getting ready to install the white version in our laundry/mud room. If you need any shelves cut to fit your space, you can just take them to Home Depot and they will cut as many pieces as you need for free. I did have to order some pieces and some of those pieces came damaged. I called the manufacturer direct, which is what the instructions say to do, and they shipped new, replacement pieces right away. I took pictures of the damaged pieces and emailed them to the email address the customer service rep gave me and never had a problem. I honestly had to do that both times but it really wasn't much of an inconvenience. The replacement pieces are packaged better so I never had any damage on those pieces.

I bought this system to complete our Master bedroom and Master closet remodel. I wasn't too sure of the quality to expect for this price point, especially after looking at many similar systems that were a lot more expensive. I bought the 4 ft. - 8 ft. Espresso Deluxe Starter Closet Kit, 72 inch Espresso Hanging Starter Closet Kit, 48 in. Espresso Vertical Panels (2-Pack), 4 of the 24 inch Espresso Shelves (2-Pack), 4 of the 35 inch Espresso Shelves (2-Pack) and an additional 32 inch closet System Rail. This allowed me to have 1 wall of that included 96 inches of double hanging, and 24 inches of long hanging for my wife’s dresses. It also gave me two 72 inch towers, one tower with 24 inch shelves and one tower with 35 inch shelves. My decision in what to buy was based on using the Martha Stewart closet design website. After I entered my room dimensions and edited the recommendation to suit our needs, the website gave me the list of things I needed to buy through Home Depot’s website. I was able to install the entire closet system by myself in under 2.5 hours (My pregnant wife watch silently in amazement from our bed). I think the most difficult part for most people will be cutting the metal rails to the correct size. The instructions suggest using a hacksaw. Fortunately for me I just bought a Dremel 4200 on Black Friday that came with a metal cutting wheel that made short work of cutting the rails for me. I think the photos do not do justice to the completed project. But my toughest critics (the lovely wife) absolutely loves who new closet. She even shares part of it with me.
