A:  Hi Marg, the product is not completely flat. It is slightly raised on the edges.

    A:  Product is not perfectly flat like a washer or cut steel.   Like all faceplates, the outer edge has a slight bevel designed to cover any protrusion of the box through the drywall.    It’s ever so slight, but is present enough to make me say that’s it’s not perfectly flat. Hope that helps answer your question

        A:  Hi Joel, It's hard to say since I don't know the screw spacing of the box you have. The plate is designed to fit standard 3.5" boxes. The screw holes are spaced 2.76: apart. I hope that helps.

            A:  I think that the 6 inch is going to work perfectly for a 1 gang outlet in the ceiling. I bought the 5 inch and it was just fine.
