Break easily
I bought this a few weeks ago. First time I decided to use them was to cut some 8-32 machine screws. It cut about 15 of them and then the pliers broke.

    Should've gotten the Kleins
My Klein diagonal cutters were misplaced at work some weeks ago and I decided to try these out since they were $10 cheaper. I guess that ten dollars makes a big difference, because they damage easily. I've already exchanged the first pair after less than a month and now the second pair has the same exact defect. I'm going to exchange them one more time before they go in the garbage.

It takes more than diagonal wire cutting pliers (side cutters) to replace the wire on a movable electrical box. The diagonal wire cutting pliers were needed along with the wire stripper and the screw drivers and the needle nose pliers. But the diagonal wire cutting pliers are good for other things too like cutting the zip ties off of new purchases so that the tags or packaging will come off. These are a nice pair of diagonal wire cutting pliers even though the packaging says made in China.

A few years ago, I bought a cheap side cutter at a discount tool store for our winter home. I was surprised how much additional effort it took to cut wire with it. I ended up throwing that one away. It was more than twice the effort of my better tool. This side cutter behaves like my older high quality cutter, easily cutting through 12 gauge Romex cable. The soft plastic grips feel good. I was surprised they have a label saying they are not insulated. I ran a resistance test on it, and it showed it to be completely isolated. The one negative would be if you use pegboard hooks to hold these type of tools. The bulky handles won’t slip into the holder.

The 8 in. Diagonal Wire Cutting Pliers is a substantial pair pliers. It has anti-slip grips, short jaws for tight places, it even has a tether hook so it cannot be dropped! These are 8 in. so you can get a 'grip' on what every you cut. They are nice to hold in your hand, they don't have a feel is if they were cutting your hand instead on cutting the wire! The are very comfortable to grip.

8 in. Wire Cutting Pliers. Combination of short jaws and long handles give you good leverage when cutting. Also good for tight areas. Rubberized handles are comfortable and knurling gives you a better grip. Blades are sharp and can cut through plastic as well as metal. Has a built in tether hook for safety purposes or for hanging the tool on a pegboard. Nice looking.

The Commercial Electric 8" diagonal wire cutting pliers work well and by design, work especially well in confined space and are made with a solid and durable construction. It cuts through single wire and romex with relative ease. My glove size is an XL and believe someone with S-M hands would find this tool more challenging to use as I do not find the handles to be especially ergonomic -comparing them to the Klein similar tool. However, this tool is less expensive so if you have a tighter tool budget and do not have the need to use this tool often or continuously for long periods of time, I do recommend it as a second best choice.
