AnswersSound awfull wide there for low voltage cabling. There are recessed outlets about as wide as a three gang outlet box/plate....nut 10 inches is quite large?

AnswersIts plastic like any other cover plate so yes. Expect it to scratch easy though, if grazed by a prong.
Does this accommodate a power cord as well?

AnswerNo this is only designed for low voltage cabling. power cords are not permitted by most codes to be run through walls in this manner.
