Yes, The door cover is included
Most generators have multiple outlets with over-current protection built in. If your generator has an L14-30 receptacle then it should also have some type of fuse rated for a 30A circuit. The transfer switch also has watt meters to actively monitor the current running through it.
Both the transfer switch and power inlet are NEMA 3R rated enclosures.
The transfer switch can be wired into circuits that are protected by GFCI breakers in the main panel but their are two caveats to be aware of. One; the transfer switch does not have ground fault protection built in so when the circuit is being powered by the generator it bypasses the breaker in the main panel so the circuit would not be GFCI protected. Switching the circuit back to utility power will restore GFCI protection. Second; when switching the transfer switch between generator and utility power it may cause the GFCI breakers in the panel to falsely sense a fault and trip. There's no harm if it happens but you just might have to reset the breaker when switching back to utility power.
The top (6) circuits are 15A and the bottom (4) are 20A. The pairs of 20A circuits are connected with a tie bar for 240V applications but can be removed for individual 120V circuits.
So they lacked continuity? I can certainly check that if that is the issue. Is that the problem?
No it can't. You need a 30 amp 230 volt 4-wire outlet.
No. The manual specifies "floating neutral" generators only. from the manual: 2. This product is suitable only for use with a generator with floating neutral. 3. Warning: Follow generator’ manufacturer’s instructions for removing bond between generator neutral and frame.
No they do not offer 30 Amp breakers. 15 or 20 Amp only.
The limitations would be based on size of conductors used.
