A:  The hammer drill would not have been tested with that and would not be recommended by the manufacturer DEWALT.

      A:  Yes, not sure why they wouldn't include the model number unless they don't want you to look up the model online to do comparison shopping. The model is the DWD520. I purchased one from the Home Depot store online and had to return it as the unit arrived with a damaged box. They shipped the drill in the manufacturer's product box without any protection and thus the product arrived damaged. I am never shopping at Home Depot online again.

Variable Speed Reversible Pistol Grip Hammer Drill will take will be a 5/32 up to 7/16. The size will depend on the material you plan to drill into.         Best drill I've ever owned.
        This 10.5 amp drill takes a beating and keeps going. One time I tried to mix floor leveler that was too thick and saw smoke coming out of the drill. I immediately stopped and thought my drill was done for, only to find the next day it ran fine, and has been running fine for two years since. I've included a pic of this 5 year old drill to show you what it's been through. Usually I don't write reviews, but I've come here 5 years past purchase because I'm so impressed with this drill.

          Just ordered this Dewalt 1/2 " Hammer drill. Really looking forward to receiving my item. I've had many Dewalt products in the past and this product should be no different in quality. Looking forward to receiving my package and putting this hammer drill to good use.

            Speed 1 doesn't work.
            Just opened a brand new drill right from the box. Did first try to power it on and choose speed 1 from gear switch, unfortunately the drill doesn't rotate, it works on speed 2 and hammer mode, but in order to switch to speed 1 you have to use tricks. Returning to store. Such disappointing because I love Dewalt, I am using other Dewalt tools.

              Stopped working in hammer mode
              I have had this drill for a couple of years and it has only seen light duty. The hammer mode no longer works, does not engage. When you move the selector to the hammer mode it stays in regular drill mode.

                  Never ever!
                  No case or chuck key holder. Lost after the first job. Simple thing but so frustrating as everything with Dewalt. From now on never Dewalt again :(
