Q:Does this drill work for drilling into brick?

A:  Hello DrillingBrick Thank you for your contact. We apologize for any trouble or inconvenience in finding information. This drill can be used for drilling into brick. For masonry, such as brick, cement, cinder block, etc., use carbide-tipped bits rated for percussion drilling. However, if the drill's primary purpose will be drilling into brick and masonry, we would recommend getting a hammer drill such as model number DCD996. Best Regards Sherri C DEWALT

      A:  Yes, I use this with my K-drill and it works great. I have a 6amp hour battery that will drill about 20 holes through 14" of ice.

              This drill has been on my wish list for over a year. It's been out of stock. I finally received an email letting me know it was back in stock. I love it super powerful I’m so happy with my new awesome drill. Excellent tool for the money. Love the hard case, two batteries, and charger in one package. The only issue I had was driving in stainless steel screws. Some of the screw heads were getting stripped even thought I pre-drilled the holes. The fasteners were made in China and poor quality. I couldn't find American made screws.

              This drill has some serious balls
              I was skeptical about DeWalt's claim that this tool could run a 2-9/16" self-feed bit through a 2x4, as even the cordless Milwaukee hole hogs have trouble with those. Man was I surprised; drop this drill down into first gear and it will chew through boards no problem. I could hardly believe it. Very impressed. I am a commercial plumber and have been running this drill through the wringer for almost a year. Nothing but good things to say about it.
