          Pump it dry!
Super excited to have this pump here on the farm. So many uses that will make life so much easier. We have two old cellars on our property that are notorious for collecting water. Fought them for years with a makeshift bilge pump. This new pump will pump these down in a matter of minutes. There are also a boat load of stock tanks that periodically need maintenance. These do have drain plugs: however, using the drain plugs make your work area muddy so, this will allow us to move the water well away from the work area. Maintenance is limited to simply making sure the electrical connection is secure and the water intake is free of debris. Now, this pump will allow for up to a 3/8” solid. Another bonus is 20’ of power cord. Two hose attachments: one is a 1-1/2” to 3/4” reducer for water hose connection (1/2” or bigger water hose required). The second is a 1-1/2” female cam-lock fitting for the included 1-1/2” x 25’ industrial hose. Now my pump is model# DXWP61379 which is a 1/3 horsepower with a max water lift of 2 gallons/minute at 35’. Now, at 25’ you’re pumping 25 gallons/minute and 50 gallons/minute at 10’. I tied a rope to the handle for lowering/lifting and it performs great! Two thumbs up and I definitely recommend!

          Fantastic pump
This pump does a fantastic job and is quite easy to setup and use. The pump can move about 60 gallons per minute using its 1/3 horsepower motor. Pump housing is made from aluminum with the inlet on the bottom coming with a bar grill to prevent the pump from sucking up a larger size stick or debris. The inlet like I said is on the bottom of the pump unit and the discharge is on the top with a plastic connection to connect a hose to the unit. The unit comes comes with a hose and adapter plus a secondary adapter that can be used for something like a garden hose. The pump has a 20 foot power cord and once plugged in will begin to pump and can continue to pump until the water or liquid is gone. The only downside or con to this pump I think is the inlet area and the grill in that area. I would have liked there to be a finer mesh cover that would have come with the pump if you were pumping something that had thicker sludge. Overall I do think this is a great pump unit.

DEWALT 1/3 HP Aluminum Submersible Utility Pump with Hose Kit
After years of pumping out basement foundations of homes under construction, my old ½ hp submersible pump died last year while pumping out a ditch near our house. I looked at a few potential replacements and decided on this one. I like that it’s aluminum and not cast iron or plastic; it weighs about 12 pounds. The pump handles solids (up to 3/8”), pumps 60 gpm at 2’ lift and 50 gpm at 10 feet. It comes with a 25-foot-long 1½” nylon discharge hose that connects with Camlok fittings, it also has a 20-foot cord and comes with an adapter fitting for connecting a ¾ inch garden hose. This would work great for pumping out a swimming pool or a garden pond. I wanted to test it, but since we haven’t had any rain lately, I filled a tub with water and pumped it out; in less than a minute the tub was empty. The pump is solidly built, pretty quiet and moves water fast.

Awesome submersible pump, with very good options
I am in and out of flooded basements, or dug holes on a daily basis, you have to have a submersible pump you can trust to keep your feet dry. The Dewalt 1/3 rd hp pump has all the features i need. Easy to use 110volt plug, great power, and multiple hose connection adapters. It can be used with a standard garden hose with the included adapter or the way i like to use it is with the included 1.5 inch hose adapter and the included heavy duty hose that is made like a fire hose. It does not use a float switch to turn it on and off, just set it in a couple inches of water and plug it in, works fast to empty the water out. It has a water tight cord enterance so it can go under the water with no issues and has a sturdy handle to lift it or carry it. To put it in a hole we use a rope attached to the handle and not use the cord to lift it with. It has quite a good lift height, but the higher the water travels vertically the less volume it will pump. Ive put it in some really mucky waters with no issues. This Dewalt pump will remain the best in my tool arsenal.

Quick and Durable Submersible Utility Pump
The DEWALT 1/3 HP utility pump is submersible and the housing is made of strong aluminum. Another great feature of this pump is the new style which comes with a 25 foot hose quick connect cam lock. It also has a connect to allow you to connect the pump to a basic ¾” garden hose. The pump has a 1/3 HP which has a flow rate of 60 gallons per minute at zero foot, and a 50 gallons per minute at a 10 foot, which is the height of most basements. The power cord is 20 foot long which is great as you can usually find an outlet within 20 feet from where you have the utility pump staged. I recommend you monitoring this pump while in use as it does not include a float which would turn off the pump once the water gets to a set level. I’ve seen pumps similar to this burn out when pumping dry, as the pump is water cooled. The pump can handle some dirty water which is a great feature when the need is to pump out a dirty basement or flooded yard.

          Great Utility Pump
This Dewalt utility pump is what is needed to empty water from just about anywhere. I have many Dewalt power tools already and have formed an opinion of a very high praise. Never a complaint. The one third HP utility pump is not the most powerful, but it will work to drain many common draining needs including flooding in basements, draining small pools, hot tubs and more. The draining comes from the bottom of the pump up to thirty five feet up with sixty GPM and thirty six hundred GPH. The heavy duty cast aluminum motor is protected from overheating. It is electrically powered with a twenty foot cord. Included is a twenty five foot length of heavy duty water removal hose with easy connection fittings. A carry handle is provided.

          Great sump pump
The Dewalt 1/3hp aluminum sump pump is a excellent sump pump. Its very well made, comes well equipped with what you need to set it up and get running. The pump gas great lift power and excellent pumping force which will handle just about anything you would run across in your home or on your property. The pump comes with a 25' of quick connect cam lock 11/2" discharge hose and connector for the pump and also the connector for a regular 3/4" garden hose. This pump is designed to pump clean water as in not a trash pump it's not designed to pump water that has objects in it such as rocks, dirt, twigs, ect.

          Good little pump
Well I got this for two reasons. One is I own a pool (11,000gal.) and it needs drained once every 4 or 5 years. After getting this pump I saw it had not been tested for pool use and I also calculated that it would take about 200 hours to drain my pool. So while it might help you might be better off with a larger submersible pump and whatever you do, stay clear of the water while pumping. The second reason is I am moving to a hurricane prone area. With a little luck, this may help keep some areas drier or help clean up areas that did take water. 60 gallons per min surely would be a huge help. I was able to hook up my 3/4 inch garden hose easily for drainage.

We bought this to help drain our pool since our pool pump was broken. This submersible Dewalt pump is powerful and helped the project to go quickly. We trust the brand for good quality. We appreciated the hose accessory that came with this pump.
