Questions & Answers

How do you change the heads?

How do you change the heads?
Asked by: PJP
The heads are a small plastic piece that is inserted into the frame at the top of the sprinkler. The head can be changed at any time with out disconnecting the sprinkler lead hose from the main line. A twist of the frame removes it from the base and then the head can be removed and a different one installed. Twist the frame back onto the base and you are ready to go, very simple and very quick.

What is the diameter of the 360' spray pattern? (I plan to use a 25 psi regulator.)

What is the diameter of the 360' spray pattern? (I plan to use a 25 psi regulator.)
Asked by: Ceemom
I placed mine about 5' to 6' apart so that there is overlap between sprayers. They probably spray about 6'. However, the density of the spray decreases as the distance from the head increases so I allow for that. For instance, my iris and peonies don't need as much water as a rose bush or some my more thirsty perennials, so I try to place the heads further away from them but so that they still get some water, but not too much. I overlap when I want a uniform water coverage.

With the 360 head, how do you change the flow rate to reduce the diameter?

With the 360 head, how do you change the flow rate to reduce the diameter?
Asked by: Ryan
The flow rate is fixed and not adjustable. If you lower the water pressure to the entire line, the head would water a smaller circle, but so would the other sprinklers on that line. A possible solution is to change the head to a half circle head and install another half circle sprinkler back to back with it. The half circles do a smaller radius than the 360 heads. This solution will only work if the area you want to water is equal to the 2 half circles (which now make a full circle of watering). Check it out to see.
