How can i purchase another timer like this one

I would recommend removing the battery for 20 to 30 min. then when re-installing the 9 volt battery make sure it is a fully charged (new or like new) 9 volt alkaline battery and try to operate the unit manually. If the unit operates manually by turning the dial to the manual position and pressing the enter button, and then closes by turning the left dial to OFF then the unit is operating correctly and just needs to be re-programed. If the unit does not operate manually then please call our Tech service department to troubleshoot this unit further 1-800-322-9146.

how to program timer to start each day

You have to get out of bed and start the cycle at the time you wish. If you want it to start watering at 6 a.m., set your alarm to get up before that time.

Can it water at intervals during one part of the day (e.g. daytime) and NOT water during the other part (e.g. night)?

Asked by LawnGone March 18, 2018

Yes, but the settings are pretty clear on the dial when and how often you want the timer to come on.

Will this work with a rain water harvesting tank and gravity feed pressure?

Probably not enough water pressure.

I am using this for a drip irrigation system. It was easy to program initially, and easy to re-program when the timing needed to be changed.

Caution
This timer can get stuck in the ON position if the battery fails during a watering cycle. Apparently the valve is not a spring-operated “normally closed” type. Battery power is required to close the valve, and if it is weak it may not operate against strong water pressure. If you want to prevent a flood, proactively check the battery light. In my unit the first battery lasted about 4 months. I *think* it was a fresh one... I will be checking it monthly from now on

Easy to set up and use. Have multiples for different stations to cover my wife's flower beds and garden areas. Nice to set duration and time sequence and not worry about watering. Just remember to shut of spigots and remove for storage over winter (remove battery for longer life).
