A: Hi steve, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet R4700-FL. Although the technical specifications list this unit as a 1/2" rough in, the unit actually uses 3/8" piping. A 3/8" sweat coupling or fitting will be needed to connect to PEX or whatever size and type of supply pipe is used, which is not included. Wrong pairing with the AKDY tub filler floor mount

Item arrived on time and easy order and deliver. It was paired when I ordered the tub with a free standing tub filler so I ordered all 3 together as suggested. It was installed and when the AKDY-1-Handle-Freestanding-Floor-Mount-Roman-Tub-Faucet-Bathtub-Filler-with-Hand-Shower was delivered/opened, it did not fit and will require either a much more expensive Delta model or require that the contractor replumb the existing supply lines. I had no idea what I was to buy and relied on the suggestion that was paired together. Hopefully in the end it will all work out. We love Home Depot but that was a bit disappointing.

Do your homework before purchasing!

Couple things to note: 1. This valve needs to be placed under the tile and mounted to the floor which is not mentioned. 2. There is another valve with shut off’s, and it took me a long time to see which one is better. It is better to have the shutoff switch incase of emergency. 3. Also finding a certified plumber that can install is another problem. Highly advise to do your homework before purchasing
