A: Yes. This is a very convenient device.
A: No, there is not.
A: Sorry, but no.
A: NO. It's just one or the other.
A: No, it’s only a two way valve without backflow prevention protection.

A: I didn't purchase this item. It doesn't appear to have a backflow preventer in it. I would consider buying it myself though.
A: It seems like a basic unit, with just something that blocks and redirects the water flow when the knob is turned, but does the fact that no water leaks from either the shower head or the handheld fixture indicate the presence of a backflow preventer? I hope this helps.
A: The diverter valve is a simple ball valve. No backflow when it is in the off position. Well-made valve with metal body and valve stem and ball.
A: This doesn’t have a BackFlow preventer but it works extremely well as a valve to change Direction of the flow of water without leaking.
A: I purchased and installed this piece about two years ago and if I remember correctly it is just a standard ball valve inside. I don't think it has a back flow restrictor. it is a quality piece and decently priced. worth a try.
A: No! It does not reduce water flow. It diverts water from the overhead shower head to a hand held better than the push and pull type as it has 1/4 turn ball valve. Very easy to turn.
A: Hello, It shouldn't. It should only directs the water flow from inlet to one other outlet depends on position of lever. Partial or full redirect. Variably between the 2 outlets. Hence flow rate and pressure varies.
A: Hello shoreline, Thank you for your question! We will be happy to help you today! The Delta Shower Arm Diverter U4922-PK does not have a flow restrictor. Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Renna
A: No. There is no reduction in water pressure. I use it for diverting a hand shower and the pressure feels the same.
A: Not at all!
A: Yes it can, by not opening the valve completely. It will divert the water to the other "outbound" line. You can cap-off the other line and by adjusting the valve you reduce the water outflow.
A: No at least not without some kind of adapter. The ends are 1/2" for a bathroom/shower application not for a larger (5/8") garden hose.
A: If you are asking can you have a garden hose on one fitting and your shower on the other , yes you can but you need to add a garden hose thread adapter to the 1/2 inch male pipe thread from the valve
A: No, it cannot be used with a garden hose. They are threaded differently, even if you attempt to use a hose of the same diameter. You can, however, get an adapter. You may need to go to a specialty plumbing store.
A: Oscar, Thank you for your question, we are pleased to assist you today. You can connect a hose to the diverter, you will also be able to disconnect and use your shower. There is a lever on the diverter that allows you to switch functions. Best Regards, Kelley
