A contractor installed it for me and didn't have any issues following the instructions. As for using it, we've only had it for about a month and so far so good. The door is very sturdy and the glass is easy to clean. Just follow the directions which says to use a squeegee and soft cloth.

Very nice
In general it was an easy installation, but I feel like an emphasis should have been put early in the instructions that the vertical alignment for the door and stationary glass is solely based on their connections to the wall. Its obvious in hindsight but I would have paid more attention had I thought about this earlier in the installation. I ended up having to realign both sides, which entailed drilling several new holes in tile. Also, a diamond bit is a must for drilling the holes in tile. Tungsten carbide just did not do the trick. With the diamond bit you just need to keep spraying with a water bottle while drilling.

Great Shower Door but Not Exactly as it's Described
This door does not pivot (meaning it cannot open both inward and outward). It is reversible (meaning it can be installed with the door either opening into the shower or pulling it out toward you). I called the manufacturer who explained to me that it was described correctly (not according to Webster's dictionary) --- it is a beutiful door with very strong glass and looks great installed, but unfortunately the seals are not great and it does leak from time to time.

“ The DreamLine Elegance Shower Door is a pivot style shower door. The meaning of the word pivot, according to Websters dictionary: "Is a shaft or pin on which something turns." This refers to the mechanism which attaches to the glass door at the top and bottom and allows it to open but does not specify that it opens in all directions. A good example is a refrigerator door which works on a pivot mechanism and can only be opened outward and not inward. The Elegance can also be reversed which means it can be mounted to either the left or right wall of the shower depending on your bathroom configuration.
As a safety concern,most townships and counties do not want a shower door to only open inward. This is due to the concern that if someone were to collapse in the shower emergency personnel would not be able to immediately get to said person and may need to shatter the glass to give them medical attention.

diy shower door
this is a shower door with custom appeal and diy all in one. I had to buy a stud finder that reads behind tile to complete the install. it was worth every dollar. decided to install myself since you can't find a good contractor these days. it's sturdy and we'll constructed. instructions need to be a bit more detailed, easy to follow none the less.

Looks nice difficult to adjust
The directions are poorly written. Once the door is mounted it is very difficult to adjust the tension.
