Warning on safety - door exploded
I am posting a warning regarding the safety of these doors.
These were installed by the previous owner of my house 2 years ago.
One of the doors exploded on me while I was in the shower, resulting in a trip to the ER, and pretty serious injury. I am OK now and it could’ve been so much worse. Please be warned about these doors!

Beautiful door. Well made. This is my second dreamline door I have put into a house. Both are great. Beautiful. High quality. My only complaint is no installation video. It seems like making an installation video these days would be so easy to do and would alleviate so much frustration from the installer and the company itself.
Directions are decent, but you find yourself flipping back and forth throughout the installation instructions for names of pieces. I found a couple of instances of install to be out of order. But not a big deal. Take your time. Plan on two days if you haven’t installed one before.
Hardware is well made. I wish they included longer screws. Stainless Steel 3” screws would suffice.
I installed door on a shower with dual heads. Other reviews complain about leakage. I am waiting for silicone to dry to test. Fingers crossed it doesn’t leak!

The product description wasn't clear that only side side opened. For what you receive, the product was very average in quality. It was tough to install with lots of small parts (I've installed about a half dozen shower doors in the past. All in all - just average in nearly every category. Price was higher than most.

It did not come with directions. I went on line and got them easily. They’re a little out of sequence but eventually made sense. I watched numerous YouTube videos to get clear on the installation process.
It’s a very good quality product.
It took numerous Bosch jigsaw blades to cut the bar that the door slides on. It’s very heavy duty and well made.
The job is definitely a two person job!!! You can not lift those glass doors by yourself unless you are the Hulk or Thor.
It looks beautiful.

BEWARE: This door is gorgeous, it has a heavy and classy look and feel. I have installed several for clients. and continued to order because of this. HOWEVER, Today I was informed that one of these doors exploded in my clients hand as he was opening the door. After a year of regular use, the door exploded like a bomb resulting in numerous cuts to arms chest and feet. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM KNOWN BY GLASS DOOR MANUFACTURERS. A quick internet search and I found that this happens all over the country just like my client said, OR it can happen when no one is even in the room. The safety solution is to install a clear safety film to the outside of the glass.
Now that I know this can happen, ethically, I must notify other clients of this issue, and offer to resolve at my cost.
THE MANUFACTURER MUST INFORM CUSTOMERS OF THIS POTENTIAL ISSUE

Renovated our master shower by replacing the seldom used garden tub into an awesome shower experience. Glass doors installed by experts and we're very, very happy with the results. We renovated our guest shower a couple of years ago and installed door opening glass doors, we're not happy with those glass doors due to water falling onto the floor each time the door is opened as well as hard to keep them clean. But the Dreamline Enigma frameless sliding shower glass doors keep the water in the shower and we especially enjoy the Clearmax coating that makes cleaning the doors quick and easy. Best showers we've ever taken.

Installation can be done with two people, at least one who can follow detailed specific directions. The doors were heavy but I was able to pick them up with the help of another person without special glass handles. Installation took several hours but that’s because the instructions are very detailed and you have to follow them exactly. They are not difficult to install, it just takes time and patience. Once installed they look very good. You do have to make sure to wipe all the water off of them after every shower so they don’t have water spots or buildup. I bought a squegee and it takes a quick 15 seconds or less to wipe them down before getting out. Take the time to do it so they will last and stay beautiful. My doors were missing the bottom door stop. I contacted the manufacturer a d they promptly mailed me another one. They have great customer support. I fee more confident that these doors are secure than I would with a hinged door. These doors are also nice in a small bathroom where you do not have space to swing a door out.

This is a great shower door,, it slide perfectly smooth and you can't beat the price.. Installation is a bit of work two people job for sure its a heavy door.. Make sure its level on the top. Watch a YouTube video of the installation it will make it so much easier Good luck
