A:  You can actually buy just the 34-1/2" x 56-60" Flex shower enclosure that comes with this kit on its own without the shower base (glass is smaller than base so it fits up onto the curbs of the base). The glass enclosure can be used on a custom tile base or a "zero curb" or "curb-less" style shower as well. The model number for just the glass enclosure without the shower base is SHDR2234580RT04. The version of the DreamLine Flex you are looking at does not come with the Q-WALL acrylic backwall set, however, if you are looking into buying one of the versions of this product that does come with the acrylic backwall set, the installation must be done using an acrylic-safe construction adhesive. Most manufacturers of this type of adhesive will refer to this as "tub surround" adhesive (i.e. Liquid Nails 715, 915, 1015, or LocTite PowerGrab Tub Surround). Whichever type you use, just confirm on the tube of adhesive that it states it is safe to use on acrylic.
