eFORCE 12 in. 56V Cordless Battery Chainsaw with 2.5Ah Battery and Charger

After a couple solid weeks of treework with this saw; it is now my tool of choice for large trims or medium softwood climbing removal jobs. The battery lasts well over an hour on softwood removals, and charges quickly. Carry a little bottle of bar oil to refill when your groundie tags up a replacement battery. When will the 2.5Ah batteries be available for individual purchase? We bought a 2nd saw to get a 2nd battery :( The 5.0 Ah battery does not fit on the 2500T, the 2.5 Ah fits this saw.

Small and light enough for one-handed operation (at your own risk!), it made fast work of cutting up a fallen 20-ft spruce tree with a 9-in trunk diameter, and still had the full four bars of battery power remaining when finished! Has some nice features, including a button on the battery to check for remaining power and the style of cap on the oil reservoir. Speaking of oil, you can't use this right out of the box unless you have some on hand already. A bit disappointed that I had to make a special trip to the store to buy oil since not even a drop was included in the box.

This is a newer product in the Echo brand. I own a couple of their products and they never disappoint me. This chainsaw is two inches longer than your average cordless saw. The battery has the power to tackle the toughest limbs. It is made compact, and the battery slides in at an angle and is easy to remove. It has a combination tool included to remove the chain bar. It has an ample reservoir for bar lube oil. The weight is ideal.

The Echo eForce has a 12 inch blade, 56 V cordless battery complete with charger. PROS: Electric. Compact. Powerful. Well made. Battery lasts a long time. Charges up very fast. Chainsaw comes in a complete package with battery and charger all ready for you to begin your project. CONS: Quite Powerful so be careful and read the precautions before you begin. It has good torque but also a good kick back when running. Not sure I'd cut down a big tree with this but you don't have to smell gasoline and it gets the outside fire pit's wood done easily.

This battery powered 12" chain saw is an extremely handy tool around your house. This is almost perfect for small tree trimming, branch cutting, brush clearing and any small cutting jobs which you would think about using a chain saw for. The great part of this is, you do not have to try to start it up after having it sit in your garage for a year before use. No gas/oil mixture to go bad, no spark plug to get fouled and no smells or fumes from running it. While you use it, there also is basically no noise outside of the chain slicing through the branches. The motor in this unit is quite powerful and should work for pretty much anything a gas powered version of the same size can do. This unit even with the pretty large battery on it, is actually a bit lighter weight than a similar gas unit, so you probably won't experience as much arm tiredness as with a gas unit. The chain, and the bar and adjustments work just like most other chain saws, and this has the normal safety devices. It has the top hand protector which you pull back allowing the unit to run, then push it outward to disable the power to the chain. The is an on/off button on the top handle, and of course you have to press a safety lever while engaging the motor which has a variable speed control switch. All my outdoor trimming can possibly be done with this, with the exception of hedge shaping since, a chain saw is not the right tool for that job. But cutting out a bush is easily done with this little saw. The battery will probably have enough charge for perhaps 20-30 minutes of constant operation, which when you step back and look at that, its quite a bit. Of course being battery powered, it does not sit there idling while you clear the cut limbs away. Anyway I am impressed with this little chain saw, and Highly recommend it.

We live on a farm, and it seems like our trees need lots of attention to keep them growing beautifully. This ECHO eFORCE 12-inch cordless chainsaw definitely does the trick. Rather than lugging around a giant size saw, this 12-inch model makes the work so much easier. It's Patented 'quick-draw' harness ring makes hooking and unhooking easy with just one movement, plus the 'drop-prevention' lanyard hook increases your safety in a tree or bucket.

Was very impressed with the performance of this battery powered saw. The 2.5 amp battery, which is the only size that fits, lasted thru 45 minutes of trimming small pine tree limbs. The 12 inch bar is the perfect size for small branch trimming or removal. If I am am doing tree removal I still prefer gas powered chainsaw’s.

it's light, durable, well made, got some kick. sad thing is after a 500 dollar investment, i can't use it. It won't charge. it is just past 30 days and I don't want to search high and low for the stupid reciept. So I guess I will see what happens when I call echo. And whatever the outcome of the call, I will update this. I'm kinda bummed, and have a * _ton of trimming to do. ww

Cuts great. Battery last a long time. Extremely well made and great design. Fold out clip is awesome as well for hanging on my tree climbing harness.
