A: Don1111, Thank you for your question. There are 2 types of well pumps sold at Home Depot, jet pumps and 4" submersible pumps. If you are referencing a 4" submersible pump, these pumps are connected with either pvc or black poly piping to the top of the pump head using a barbed 1 1/4" adapter. The discharge outlet of the 4" submersible is 1 1/4" NPT threaded. Use 100 PSI rated polyethylene plastic pipe for installations up to 100 ft. depth. Use 160 PSI rated polyethylene plastic pipe for installations up to 220 ft depth. For depths beyond 22 ft., use galvanized steel pipe for the entire drop pipe. Regards, Everbilt Customer Service
A: The base where the two holes on the bottom are attaches to something that won’t rot to raise the pump above the well casing. The front two holes attaches to pipes that attaches to the jet that goes into the well casing. The top hole goes to a pressure tank then from the pressure tank to your house.
A: Jesse, thank you for your question. Yes, this is a convertible jet pump so it can run for shallow or deep well. The 2 pipes are usually for the deep well system. If you need anything or have any other questions, please feel free to contact our customer service at 877-326-3561. Regards, Eco-Flo Products Customer Service
A: I just installed one with two pipes in well. Foot valve already in well. Just insert two adapters in pump to convert to plastic and hook to pipes coming out of well . Most wells have plastic piping now.
A: Because when you take the injector off the pump casing to convert it to a submersible*jet* pump, the 1" pipe shoots a considerable amount of air pressure*down* into the water so the water is sucked up hard by the 1 1/4" intake line. Those two different type pressures aren't always going to be consistent . There could be a situation where the air pressure is so hard it basically can act just like a pressure cooker with a lid tightly attached. Have you ever seen one of the little rockers in top of a pressure cooker "dancing" , ratteling like crazy warning you the pressure is but up so high if you don't release so if the pressure it's going to BLOW? The regulator is also called a release valve. Some people just use ball valves like on water lines that can be opened and adjusted to stay open a little bit. But the regulator vivid consistent pressure release as needed. It keeps the guess game out of it.
A: This question concerns a water pressure regulator? If there is a constant flow situation, a pressure regulator is not required, but if not a constant flow enjoy busted pipes, if pump doesn't shut off.
