I like this product and the build of it. It's very robust and absolutely will reinforce your lock jamb, no doubt. It's well made and is easily installed, WHEN REPLACING YOUR DOOR or during construction. Otherwise, per the instructions, you have to disassemble your door frame and install this for it to work, effectively. When installed this way, it is VERY effective and works as promised. However, if you want to install this on an existing door, youre going to have to disassemble the door frame/jamb to install this. Without a doubt a very secure addition to your front door security but not as easy as installing a new lock or deadbolt. Good product but know its limitations beforehand.

Recently finished basement studio and wanted extra protection for the pedestrian door that enters the space. This kit fits the bill perfectly to reinforce against kicking in the door. It is more complicated to install than expected because I’d already installed the door, but I have peace of mind knowing there is a little more physical reinforcement in addition to the alarms and cameras. Install involved taking off the door and removing the weatherstripping and part of the jamb, so this is not for an inexperienced person to install unless installed prior to putting in the door.

This is a good product for reinforcing your exterior door jamb. It comes well packaged and protected. All the installation hardware is included and is intended for uninstalled exterior door jambs or replacement exterior door jambs. It is not designed to be installed after the door frame is installed. It can be used on interior jambs but you would need to use shorter screws than the ones provided and adapt the included instructions for your situation. Also, the hardware with screw heads add about 3/16" of an inch to the jamb thickness so if you don't have a little wiggle room between the strike side jamb and the framing it may not work on a retrofit. The installation was pretty simple with good printed instructions included. You can also scan the QR code on the package for more information on the product as well as an installation video. Overall this is solid and once installed should provide much, much better protection than the stock door jamb.

This is a well made high quality product that is a great way to make your door ways more secure and more difficult to break through. It also really helps if you just need to replace the often flimsy mechanics with short small screws that comes with many door frames today. Installation is easy but you need to be careful as you pry apart the existing door frame to enable the support frame installation. Old door frames can be dry and brittle especially the brick mold and door jam. overall i am pleased with the solidness of my door close after installation.

This entryway door lock reinforcement kit is a great idea for extra security for your family and valuables. Personally, I used it for my backyard shed. I only ended up using only half of the kit, since i was not planning on adding a deadbolt to the shed door besides a knob with a builtin lock on it. It was extremely easy to install. Just follow the enclosed instruction sheet. Just keep in mind that this kit needs to be installed on the door frame before installation onto the wall. It cannot be installed after the door has been put into place already. I would recommend it for added safety.

Well it was a disappointment that you need to remove the door frame from the rough opening to install this item. It was not clear until I was reading the installation instructions, that this step is required. I am needing this additional security and I am capable of the work (which is substantial).
