Product Overview

Eaton's Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (AFCIs) use advanced electronic technology to reduce fire hazards in electrical circuits, including connected cords. They meet the requirements of the UL Standard for Safety, UL 1699 for devices that reduce the effects of persistent arcing faults that may pose a risk of fire under certain conditions. Arcing creates high intensity heating at the point of the arc resulting in burning particles that may over time ignite surrounding material, such as wood framing or insulation. The CHFCAF120 is a 20 Amp combination type breaker that includes all of the protection of the branch feeder, plus it directly detects persistent low current arcing faults down to 5 amps to efficiently protect against fire hazards in the cords connected to outlets.
  • Combination type includes all of the protection of the branch feeder, plus it directly detects persistent low current arcing faults down to 5 amps to efficiently protect against fire hazards in the cords connected to outlets
  • Branch feeder mitigates parallel arcing faults, which produce the most energy of all arcing faults, in the complete circuit including connected cords for enhanced safety
  • For use in type CH load centers
  • Amp: 20 Amp
  • Interrupt rating-10 kAIC
  • Voltage rating is 120/240V
  • Flag visually confirms “Tripped” status, making it easy for the homeowner to identify
  • Standard LED indicates one of seven trip codes to simplify circuit diagnostics

I have to add separate ground busses, part number GBK10CS, to a 22-circuit panel so that I can use the provided neutral busses on both sides to make the white breaker pigtails reach. How long are these breakers? Are they going to hang over the ground busses that mount fairly close to the breakers?
Asked by: Werhat
They are longer then the standard size so you need extra room in the panel you have to chose the placement carefully

I have this breaker and want to replace with a non AFCI. What is equivalent for this breaker?
Asked by: Savo
The equivalent should be a CHF115, but by replacing the AFCI Breaker you might be creating a code violation. If you are having tripping problems you have a problem that needs to be found and repaired.
