Enhance your home with the EcoSmart 150-watt equivalent LED BR40 light bulbs. Customize your lighting style with this dimmable bulb, by adjusting your light from daylight to a relaxing, low light. These bulbs are equipped with an integrated switch with six settings that allows you to choose the color temperature or unique DuoBright technology prior to lighting installation. The first 5 settings to choose from are standard color temperatures: 27000K (Soft White), 3000K (Bright White), 35000K (Neutral White), 4000K (Cool White) and 5000K (Daylight). The 6th setting is to select DuoBright technology, which is designed to be used on a dimmer switch. On the DuoBright setting, the bulb will emit 5000K (Daylight) when the dimmer switch is set to full brightness. When the bulb is dimmed, the color temperature will slowly transition from 5000K to 2000K (Sunset Glow). Duobright technology allows you to change the color temperature after installation in order to meet your preferences at the exact moment. The BR40 bulb is designed for indoor or enclosed fixtures and features a medium E26 base. Using only 22-watts to produce 2175 lumens, these bulbs use 85% less energy than traditional 150-watt incandescent light bulbs and will reduce household energy costs over the course of their 25,000 hour lifetime. Create a unique style in your living space with the EcoSmart LED light bulb today!

Q:Box says suitable for damp locations. Will it work for my shower? Lights are on ceiling above the shower

Answer This Question

A:  It is advised that the bulb should not be directly exposed to water, as doing so may result in a rapid failure of the bulb. While this is not a safety concern, it is important to note that the bulb is likely to fail under such circumstances.

Q:Can you provide a graph or table of lumens vs. Kelvins and also voltage vs. lumens when the bulb is operating in the Duobright mode? I am trying to determine the color temperature (Kelvins) at 1060 lumens (and other points as well). Thanks.

A:  Hi, the bulb has an integrated switch where you can use the following color temperatures: 2700K-3000K-3500K-4000K-5000K-DuoBright. Also, when used on a LED rated dimmer switch the DuoBight setting allows the color temperature to transition between 5000K to 2000K.

        Excellent Bulb
I got this bulb because I'm changing over all my bulbs to LED's. This bulb puts out an equivalent power to a traditional 150W bulb but uses 85% less energy which is quite significant. It has a cool Duobright setting that makes the color temperature warmer as the bulb is dimmed. You can also set it to 5 other settings; standard color temperatures: 27000K (Soft White), 3000K (Bright White), 35000K (Neutral White), 4000K (Cool White) and 5000K (Daylight). The first 5 settings to choose from are standard color temperatures: 27000K (Soft White), 3000K (Bright White), 35000K (Neutral White), 4000K (Cool White) and 5000K (Daylight).

Great for your garage or home
Works well on all settings. Extremely efficient, emits light on lowest dimmer setting. The Duobright feature works as it says it does. The individual settings also work as they say they do. The pics show the lowest 2700K and highest 5000K settings, as well as the Duobright on low and high. If you want one bulb that has multiple color shades this one does that. This bulb works exactly as advertised. If you need one bulb that has multiple color settings this is the one to get.

the right bulb for your home
My Review for EcoSmart 85-Watt Equivalent BR40 Dimmable Title 20 LED Light Bulb with Selectable Color Temperature Plus DuoBright (1-Pack) I got this bulb primarily because it has the adjustable color temperature without having to use an app. You can just twist the bulb on it's base and choose from 5 different color temperatures from soft white to daylight. this is a great idea for outdoor and indoor bulb to be able to use this bulb and be able to change the color of the light. it let you set the ton and the mode. This is a bulb with nice features. First of all, if you have a dimmer switch for your can lights, you can change the color of the bulb by setting the color selectable switch on the bulb to DuoBright. If you don’t, you can change it prior to installing the bulb.

A ton of light and customizable!
My older home has several rooms without light fixtures in the ceilings and only an outlet on a switch. With the living room being a little larger, I needed a bulb that puts out enough light to fill the room. These 150 watt bulbs that put out 2175 lumens work perfect and being able to customize the temperature is an added bonus. In the summer we like a whiter 5000k temperature and in the winter we prefer a warmer 3000k temperature. One bulb does it all.

        Magnificent
These are the best bulbs in the world. You can dim them on your own without putting in dimmer switches. The fact it can go from mild to very bright makes it extremely comfortable. I have not found my other bulb as remarkable as this bulb. You get different settings and they last a very long time in different weather settings. I have some in Trinidad on the outside for the last three months and the weather has been very though with extreme hot sun and extreme rain and thunderstorms and they are holding out great and still pushing great brightness throughout the weather to keep my security cameras showing well. I truly recommend these for everyone

Great for having a variety of options
The first thing I noticed about these bulbs is their size! The "face" of the bulb is about 5" wide. And it is about 6" tall so make sure you have that kind of space to work with where you are mounting it. It has 5 selectable settings for its brightness or hues, set with a slider switch on the side of the bulb. Simply select a setting, install the bulb and check how you like it. Their are 4 white settings (soft, bright, true, cool) and daylight. The 6th setting is called duobright and is used for dimmer switched lights, which I didn't have. Turned out I preferred cool white, but that's just me. Your preference will vary. I tried taking photos of the differences, but they really didn't show up on the pics.

Great for matching mood or other lights
I picked up this light bulb to use in our guest room. The house is a little older and there's no light fixture in the ceiling. We have a lamp in the corner that is plugged into a switched outlet. I wanted a little brighter bulb (85 watts) to light the room, but I also wanted a more natural light color. This bulb allows me to dial in the light color that I want with our gray walls. And if we want to change it based on season or who is staying with us, it's easy to do with the slider switch. I also definitely recommend this light if you're trying to match existing light bulbs and you don't know what color they are.

        Works great
I got this lamp for the basement about our TV. The wife likes it bright but everybody else likes a not so bright light over the TV while watching programs. This lamp is really cool and has a slide switch that selects the color brightness, and is easy to switch selections. Hopefully you will be able to tell the difference in the colors with these pictures.

        Flood light
This seems to be a pretty decent product, I really like LED lights for just about everything. This one has some neat features on it. You can adjust the brightness or shade whatever you like to call it with the built in switch or you can use a dimmer switch. This light would probably be just right for a garage or shop because it’s made for indoor use. It’s brightness is rated at 2175 lumens and uses 21 watts.

Excellent range of color temperature and brightness!
We wanted the can lights near our fireplace to have dimmable range so that we could work on projects (bright, cool light) or watch TV (dim, warm light). Adding these EcoSmart lights along with a dimmer switch is better than I had hoped: I love how at lower settings, the light is warm and soft. At the highest setting, it is bright, cool white. This light emits 85 watts equivalent light, but only uses 13 watts of electricity. In my installation, I used 2 of these 85-watt equivalent bulbs, plus 3 EcoSmart DuoBright bulbs that emit 65-watt equivalent light, while only using 8 watts each. Total equivalent wattage is 365 watts, but only uses 50 watts of electricity. Not only does this save money, it means there is less heat emitted from our light fixture.
