It's Green! It's Clear! It's Bright!
I bought three for my outside fixtures to decorate my house for Christmas. Very bright clear light for a 40w equivalent which is great and only uses 4,5w of energy!

Great Value at This Price - But Very Specialized Use
Halloween was coming up but, that's not why I got this bulb.
I have a lamp in a window in a spare room that functions as an "alarm" for a smart home security system. It flashes rapidly if any window or door in the house is opened when the alarm system is set. But a flashing "normal" white light isn't all that attention grabbing.
I thought that this EcoSmart Purple Colored Glass bulb would be a great improvement. The flashing purple light would be more of an attention getter and likely a fear inducing element for any would be intruder that just entered the home for nefarious reasons.
However, although it has the same rated lumen output of the "standard" bulb I was replacing, I found the light output, or at least, the apparent light output in the purple range to be so dim as to be ineffective for this planned use. It wasn't bright enough at night to see throughout the room whereas, a soft white bulb is. I guess a lumen @ 2700K isn't the same to the human eye as a lumen in this color range.
The pros:
* Only 4.5-Watts (equivalent to a 40-Watt standard incandescent light bulb but 90% less energy)
* 22.8-year life (based on 3-hours/day)
* Common size and shape for household applications. A19 with a medium base.
* Dimmable
* Pretty to look at and makes great special effects in the right application.
The cons:
* Light is more like "glow" than what a "normal" 800 Lumens provides.
Overall, it's till a bargain if the "glow" would be appropriate for one's use. Like in a haunted room set up.

Good for Halloween Lighting
These lights worked well for my Halloween decorating. They were able to light up my UV reactive webbing as well as clothes/costumes for trick or treaters! My lights have 2 sockets in each light, so I mixed one purple and one black light bulb in each light and it offered a great look. The black-light was too dark alone, but it darkened the pinkish-purple hue of the purple LED to create the lighting I was looking for. Overall they work as intended. Nice set of LED lights for holiday lighting.

Good for Halloween Lighting
The lighting seemed a little more of the pinkish tint rather than a purple, but that is OK it was bright to light up my entryway and it worked well for my application. My lights have 2 sockets in each light, so I mixed one purple and one black light bulb in each light and it offered a great look. The black-light was too dark, but it darkened the pinkish-purple hue to create the lighting I was looking for. Overall they work as intended. Nice set of LED lights for holiday lighting.

Brings me back to my child hood black light posters and stars
My wife wanted a black light for our Halloween party and trunk or treat. I've been a huge fan of all the EcoSmart lights I've used for many years. I've never seen a Edison led black light bulb and decided to give it a try. Holly cow I'm impressed it has the black light quality of fluorescent lights. The bulb is a19 size and will fit any regular size lamp base. I'm using on in my bathroom for my upcoming Halloween party and it's bright. I highly recommend the EcoSmart black light bulb and expect it to last for many years.

LED Bulbs Have Come a Long Way
LED bulbs have come a long way since the days when they were quite bulky, heavy, made mostly of plastic, and contained substantial electronics. This red colored Ecosmart bulb (also available in blue, green, orange, and purple) is made of glass that's been covered with a red coating - just like a colored incandescent bulb. It's also the same size as an incandescent, and about the same light weight. Although it emits about same light lumens as a 40 watt incandescent it uses only 4.5 watts at full brightness so it runs pretty cool and can be used indoors or outdoors in either open or enclosed fixtures including in wet locations. It's also dimmable and works well with no flickering, at least with my dimmers. I used these bulbs to replace the incandescent bulbs in my theater room wall sconces and they worked out perfectly.

I really like the color of this bulb, but my complaint is glass bulb. The 25000-hour lifespan and 5-year warranty makes these light bulbs a great choice for applications in your home.
Being this is a dimmable bulb and can be totally enclosed it gives durability and versatility with a fun color for Holiday or party uses.
4.5-Watt (equivalent to a 40-Watt standard incandescent light bulb) with Bulb type: LED -bulb, A19 and base type: E26 medium base, with a 22-year lifespan will give you lots of years of enjoyment.

Vibrant red color!
I remember last year how hard it was during holidays to find colored bulbs, so I didn't want to miss out this year. Christmas is approaching(woohoo!) and I got this red bulb for the front porch lights. It's a 40 watt LED powered bulb so it's guaranteed to be long lasting. I am very impressed with the vibrant red color, as I was expecting a dull, darker color.
