          Love these light bulbs!
These EcoSmart LED dimmable light bulbs with adjustable beam angle are really nice. LED saves energy and money. The bulbs seem high quality and are designed well. Quality feels good. These are perfect for track lighting like i have. Point them towards the ceiling for indirect lighting of a room which reduces glare on things like TVs. Love that you can adjust the beam angle on these. Out of the box they are set to 20 degrees, which i find too narrow (too focused). I like 40 degrees for my setup. In the pics, the other bulbs are Utilitech brand, which have same watts and color. Highly recommend these.

          Adjustable beam angle a plus!
We have a motion detector light on the side of our house for security and safety, but with our neighbor's bedroom not far away we needed a light with limited spread. These adjustable flood lamps are the perfect solution with just a twist to the base. With three adjustable focus angles of 25, 40 and 65 degrees, we can now limit the light spread and keep everyone happy. The three different settings are demonstrated in these photos from 25 to 40 and then 60.

          Great as range hood lights
This is a new model. It has 2 additional features: 1 - by turning ring on bulb neck you can set beam angle at 25, 40 or 60 degrees, 2 - bulbs can be used in semi- or fully-enclosed fixtures. I have 6 burner range and hood above it that accepts PAR20 bulbs. I found that at 60 degrees 2 bulbs cover entire range. My wife didn't like the previous model as they work more like spot lights. I had to put back halogen bulbs. But this new model cover entire range area. They are also look nice when installed under stainless steel range hood as bulb case has grey/metallic color (old ones were white). I was curious how variable beam angle works. Apparently bulb has 3 coaxial rings of LED lights. At 25 degrees only 1st, the smallest ring is on, 40 - first and second, 60 all 3 rings are working. The total light intensity is constant for all 3 angles, so these bulbs live the longest when set at 60 degrees as more LEDs are on, but each of them produces less lumens than LEDs in first ring only in 25 degree mode. The fact that they can be used in enclosed fixtures tells that they can handle higher temperatures and will not quickly fail when used in range hood.

          Very bright
Now that it’s getting darker earlier in the day it made us think about our flood lights. I really like these energy efficient options. This bulb is so versatile because there’s a dial right on each bulb so you can change the type of brightness you want, there are five settings so it’s very customizable. For times that will be working on a project late in our space I might put it on a setting of daylight. If it’s just for every day use I really like the soft white option. I could even see it as something that I change seasonally.

The EcoSmart 50 watt PAR 20 bulbs weren’t what I was looking for my range hood to replace the Phillips PAR 20 which is no longer available, but they worked.

Very harsh light unsuitable for my kitchen stove hood, gave me a headache immediately. Will not be using them.
