A:Â I have a bunch of the older bulbs, How do we use them?
Appears an update to the software has disabled them, or Echosmart did something on their end.
Bulbs say server not available. There is no way to add them back into the app.

This is my first step into smart devices that can be controlled via the internet. Other than basic wifi setup of the internet router for PC use, and using a smartphone, I have done nothing in this field.. No smart TV even!
In the box are clear easy to follow instructions. I turned on the lamp and removed the old led lightbulb from the lamp I was using as my testbed and screwed in the Ecosmart smartbulb. The new smartbulb lit up right away, a good sign I guess.
Following the instructions I downloaded the Hubspace app. Setup of the app was simple and straightforward as any other app I have used. You do have to make a login ID and choose a password. The app locates available wifi connections and you enter your network password after selecting it.
The bulb has a QR code on it and that QR code also comes on a label in the box. Once you have Hubspace active you scan the QR code and the lamp is recognized. You have a chance to give it your own choice of name. Then you can turn it on and off from the app. The brightness level is user selectable by one slider on the app acreen as is the color temperature of the light. A color range from very warm (2700 K) to daylight (5000 K) is available.

Just received my 1st smart bulb. AFter 5 minutes of downloading APP to cell phone, creating account, turn on bluetooth on phone, take picture of QCR code on label, then put bulb in lamp , turn on, let APP detect the bulb, add wifi credentials, now I can control that bulb. Now to study up on adding to alexa devices as well. BTW its 60watts and was easier that I thought to set up. Now to get 13 + more and see how easy it is

Ecosmart 60-Watt Equivalent A19 Smart LED Light bulb Tunable White. I installed this light bulb in my spare room lamp and down loaded the app to my phone then I synced it to Alexa so I can turn it on or off and even dim it from anywhere in the house. I Like that I can white temperature from warm to cool light. I would highly recommend this product to my friends and family.
1) EASY SET UP- The bulb came with instructions. Down load the HUBSPACE APP and then scan the small QR code on each lamp separately.
2) HUBSPACE APP-smoothly controls the brightness and dims the bulbs evenly. Also adjust from a soft warm white to a very bright cool white, for your desired environment or work application. The APP allows you to easily set up rooms and timing schedules. And even you can set up a flashing mode in the event of emergency.
3) CONSTRUCTION- The bulb construction and selection of material is solid without rattle of loose components that can buzz during operation or dimming.
4) PACKAGING-Even the simple brown packaging is clean and solid and environmentally friendly.
5) POWER FAILURE RESET- We had a bad storm come through and knocked out our power for a while. To my pleasant surprise, the router and lamps reset automatically which is a really nice feature.
I would definitely recommend this really smart, ECOSMART A19, 8 watt LED bulb .

It’s a lightbulb first and foremost so what is there to say? Well, a few things. I’ve found LED light bulbs to be more directional than room filling so, in my case, you would think it would just light the ceiling. However this lightbulb does fill the room as a whole rather than a direction. What differentiates this is you can control the lightbulb with your smartphone. Directions and a QR code are included in the box. It lets you go from more of a blue light to a warmer light depending on what you need including using your phone as a dimmer switch. You can also turn the bulb in and off. I just wish there was a faster response.

I am really liking these wifi lights and accessories. This light bulb was easy to connect to the wifi and to my alexa app. Download the hubspace and from there you connect the light bulb to your wifi and then you can connect to your alexa device or Google. You can set it to go on & off with a timer schedule or you could just ask Alexa to turn it on and off for you hands-free. I will be looking to invest in more products like this one

This is a very good quality LED light bulb with Wi-Fi & Bluetooth capability. I did not get the chance to install the app on my device, since it actually requires you to create and I.D. and password. I don't feel like going through all that just to use this light bulb as-is. But, for those who wish to have wireless control over this light, I'm sure it would do just fine. The light output is as expected for a 60 watt LED bulb. It puts out a soft white light, much like a standard incandescent bulb, which is just what I prefer. I would probably go with a regular old bulb without the Wi-Fi / Bluetooth capability next time.

Greatest invention ever! This bulb installs exactly like a traditional one. You simply turn it into your existing light fixture. It brings instructions that are very clear to understand. It has different light brightness so you can achieve the light preference for your room. I installed this bulb in my hallway and chose a bright white since I don’t have enough natural light in my hall. You can play with all the different brightness options on your phone and choose the brightness that works for your space. It works with Alexa! I can be down stairs or upstairs and ask Alexa to turn on my hallway light and she does.
Well, it's a light bulb. As a plain light bulb it is really pricey; as a "smart" bulb the cost is less than others. As noted this is a "smart" light bulb and rating the bulb includes rating the "smarts" behind it.
Hubspace is the app, the "smart" behind this light bulb. As of March 2023 I have 26 smart light bulbs / sockets / switches / outlets with five different controlling apps. These are collectively managed with Google Home and Google Assistant via several Nest Minis 2nd generation. (I have tried Google's voice control competitor from "Amaz..").
Hubspace on the cell or tablet is about the same as other apps. Hubspace is by far the worst, the slowest response, when using voice control throughout the house. Everything using Hubspace is S-L-O-W; between four and five seconds to turn on or off a light. Other lights, switches, etc. that I have are about two seconds. Spend a couple dollars more and get something not using Hubspace if you want to walk through the house talking the lights on and off.

I bought these lights to complete a lighting project in my home. I was looking to solve 2 issues: combat high energy costs and create flexible lighting without involving an electrician. Both goals were attained. The Hubspace app is easy to use and easily connects with my existing Google Home platform. I would definitely recommend.
