Q:How do adjust the bulb to the 3 different brightness?

Answer This Question

A:  There is a switch near the base of the bulb that you can use to set the wattage. If you look at one of the images enlarged you will see it.

by|Dec 7, 2023

A:  A 3-way bulb will need to be used in a 3-way fixture/socket. When a 3-way bulb is put into a standard lamp socket, the bulb will operate at medium power.

      Excellent Lights
These EcoSmart bulbs with a switch to set the brightness at three different levels are a great innovation in light bulbs. The 5000K daylight is a very nice white, bright light. The PAR 38 and E26 base makes these perfect for many applications, indoor and outdoor. And since these bulbs are wet rated, perfect for placing out in landscaping or to light up trees.

      Excellent for motion detector outside
This review is for the EcoSmart 90/120/150-Watt Equivalent PAR38 Dimmable Spot LED Light Bulb in Daylight 5000K (2-Pack). I also got the daylight version. I have a double motion device at the end of my garage. I just bought the house and noticed the bulbs were different strengths and colors of light. I switched them out with these two daylight bulbs and what a difference. Sorry pixs in daylight! They do look great and are much brighter.

      Nice 3 way lights
This is a two pack item. I like that it is three way 90/120/150 watt light, although I think you need a fixture that can work with 3 way bulbs. As you can see from the photos, they are good sized, so you will want to check the dimensions and make sure they will fit in your fixture. I just received them so I can't say how long they will keep working.

The Best Flood lights I Have Found
I have been looking for an indoor/outdoor flood light and found this one and the results are excellent. To begin with the light to my eyes is what I call clearer and sharper. It does nit seem to add a yellow color to objects and the area. Besides costing much less to operate, I find with out the heat that other bulbs generate is also seems to generate much less insects which really is a huge benefit to me and my family

      EcoSmart thought of everything!
I couldn’t quite figure out how this bulb could be adjusted to 90, 120 or 150 watts without a dimmer but EcoSmart figured it out! They added a switch at the base of the bulb where you can adjust the brightness and wattage by just turning the switch. These bulbs can also be placed on a dimmer switch where you have even more options to adjust brightness. So not only are they dimmable, they are wet and dry rated so they can be used both indoors or outdoors and they are LED’s so they use far less energy, LED longevity )according to the specs) is 25,000 hrs. Lastly, they have a nice modern design - they have a raised flat inner circle and what looks like a border on the outer part of the bulb; they look more contemporary and far better than the old flood lights. The only negative is they are a bit more expensive than standard LED flood lights but you are paying for the versatility, engineering and longevity. I highly recommend these EcoSmart LED lights if you want to save energy and at the same time update your old flood lights.

      Bright LED Spotlight
I selected the EcoSmart 3-Way LED Spotlight to replace a traditional, incandescent spotlight on my front porch and was not disappointed. It clearly made a huge difference in lighting up the area and I could really see the difference when the two types of bulbs were side-by-side. The EcoSmart bulb has a bright, white color that was perfect for illuminating my deck and patio area.

Best features in a light bulb
I have received on time for an update on my exterior lighting at front of the house, I had some old halogen bulbs which uses more energy and gave me a yellow light, now I installed the newest addition from Ecosmart led flood light bulbs which are way better than others on the market because features a 3 different ways of getting brightness incorporating a base switch selector to choose from before installation. Each selection gives an output equivalent of 90/120/150 watts and only uses 8/11/15 watts of energy making it a n really efficient light bulb saving energy and money. It’s designed for any room around the house even on exterior or wet areas, another feature from this bulbs is that can be dimmable too, it’s lightweight and the light output dispersion is incredible. They have up to 10 years of warranty from manufacture defects. Now the front of my house has more light at dawn without expending more money or energy on it.

The best-dimming LED floodlight I’ve ever worked with. 3-way maximum brightness is a plus.
I’ll confess this up front: I’m cheap, and don’t replace working lightbulbs until they fail. This trait has given me an unusual test environment – a room with three recessed ceiling lights that have had reflector bulbs replaced (or not) over a long span of years, leaving me with one original incandescent bulb, one CFL, and one LED, all 120-watt equivalents. Since most of us don’t do wholesale lamp replacement, this gives me a place to see how various bulbs work and play with others. This PAR38 LED reflector flood is rated for indoor or outdoor use. The major selling point of this lamp seems to be that with a twist of a rotary switch on the lamp’s base, the bulb may be configured as a 90, 120, or 150-watt equivalent bulb (producing 950, 1250, or 1600 lumens, while using 8, 11, or 15 watts, respectively.) This gives it extra flexibility in fitting in with a variety of existing light installations. Light diffusion was acceptable, but concentrated in the center of the PAR38 lens structure. Using an advanced multi-channel 4-scene electronic dimmer, the dimming capability was the best I’ve ever encountered in an LED bulb. It got down to a barely-there level that glowed on the ceiling, and produced just the slightest bit of room illumination – ideal for my home theatre installation. This light bulb has a 3000K color temperature (bright white), which seemed accurate in comparison with other bulbs with a similar temperature rating. This bulb is said to have an expected life of nearly 23 years and comes with a 10-year warranty. (My experience with long warranties is a mixed bag – Home Depot generally requires a copy of the original receipt to honor warranties, and those are generally lost within 10 days – never mind trying to find one ten years from now!)

      Nice features
A light that can be adjusted! A great idea. I put the two bulbs from the pack in my dark basement. The light from one bulb lights up one complete side on the 150 watt setting. The adjustment is easy, just twist the bulb while holding the socket. The three settings are marked right on the side. The bulbs are made to use indoors and outdoors, so there is no reason to have to buy two different bulbs! The light is bright white and very bright.

      Love this product
Ecosmart is my go to brand of lightning. They make excellent quality products which last a very long time. These standard base indoor/outdoor wide floodlight Daylight (5000k) bulbs are wet rated and feature three way brightness and use very little wattage (950 @ 8w / 1250 @ 11w / 1600 @ 15w). Compared to the incandescent bulb which use 90/120/150w for the same brightness. Use with compatible light dimmers. Dimmable as low as 3% compared to an incandescent @ 10%. Compatibility information can be found @ homedepot.com/ecosmart using the model number. The manufacturer offers a ten-year warranty against defects and craftsmanship.
