          25% failure rate
I bought 4 of these last year for holiday lighting only. After about 45 total days of use 1 has failed due to the base separating from the reflector. These were in a normal pointing up spotlight application.
            Leaky and poor quality
These bulbs are crap. I’ve been through several sets and iterations, from white housing to silver housing, but I’m still around a 50% failure rate within a year. The housing starts leaking water and condensation, and then it’s over for them. They’re conveniently available, but don’t expect more than a year out of them on average.

Perfect for over tub and shower. I love the bright white spectrum.

              Lasted LESS than 6 months
SUPPOSED to have a 13 year lifespan. I hardly use the lights and 2 of these bulbs blew out in less than six months. Waste of my hard earned money paying for inferior lights.
Response from ECOSMART Customer ServiceMay 2, 2023
Hello, we have reached out to you via email to investigate what caused the early failure.
NOT DIMMABLE with latest LED dimmer
My first attempt, I bought the 4 -pack of this same "90-watt equavalent"bulb, not realizing they were labeled "Not Dimmable." My error. This time, I bought the clearly-labeled DIMMABLE version. They strobe like a disco-ball, from full-on to 50% dimmed. The high end "trim" on the dimmer doesn't help. The dimmer I'm using is the latest, new Casita Diva by Lutron "with LED+ technology" from Home Depot. Your result may vary.
Fire Hazard! What happened to the quality?
Have at least 15 of these bulbs that have been going on years now with the white outer shell to uplight pine trees for Christmas. They (were) my go to company/type for the quality and brightness. Bought another 2 boxes of sets with now silver shells, still rated for outdoor/wet locations. 1 week outside and they produced this acrid smell then tripped the breaker. All of them are filled with water and were scorching ready to burn up hot. Not working is one thing, filling with water and then almost catching fire is an entirely different story. Plot twist is I'm not even sure how to even directly contact the company. No contact information to be found for them. Huge red flags, frustrated, and extremely disappointed. Dont walk away, RUN away. Thankful the gfi breaker reacted so quickly. Would be nice to hear from the manufacturer on this one and maybe receive some complimentary better quality bulbs for almost literally burning up my holiday spirit.

                    Great money saver
With the cost of electricity going up every year , it only makes sense to change to high efficient lighting. This LED bulb is rated to last 13 years and cuts the amount of electricity by 90 percent. It is the same size and weight of a standard light bulb. It changes out easily. There is very little heat produced compared to a standard light bulb. I found the amount of light produced is sufficient. In summery,as the name indicates, EcoSmart, is economically smart!!!

We purchased four of these (2 - 2 packs) about 18 months ago to put in the kitchen, and very happy with several features; brightness, dimmable, and life expectancy. In the last two weeks, two of the lights have gone out. This is not the advertised 13 years; making these lights expensive. Am returning all four for a different brand.

I originally intended to buy an exact replacement for the incandescent bulbs in the outdoor flood lights used to illuminate my pool area, but I saw this two-pack of LED lights at my local store and could not resist. These bulbs are more than twice as bright, they are dimmable, use way less electricity, and have a 13 year lifespan compared to only a 1 year warranty on the incandescent bulbs. And the best part is they are only about $2 more than a pack of incandescent flood lights. You really can't go wrong. These have been placed in a fixture under the roof line for only a couple weeks, so I cannot speak to how well they do in wet conditions. However, the daylight brightness of the bulbs makes my job of cleaning the pool at night much easier than before. The only trouble I have had with them so far is when I installed them. The gasket in one of the sockets would not allow the bulb to screw all the way in and it would not illuminate. I removed the gasket since it is unlikely to get wet where it is placed and the bulbs are point downward. I think the issue is the gasket is just old and rigid and would not expand over the end of the bulb. New gaskets or some caulk saver poly foam/backer rod might solve the problem if you have the same issue.
